I think the problem is with your processor fan....if you are using the system for many years...for example say 3 years.....dust will accumulate in the processor fan....and this in turn will produce more sound when the it is overheated also.....the solution is.....you have to remove the processor fan and clean it.....and then use it....this will definetly reduce sound.....try this...it will work 100%.........

My Desktop PC assembled is emitting quite a bit of noise. Whenever an application or a download is started, the cpu usage shoots up and the noise / vibration also increases. What can I do?

I would think the SMPS fan, sounds like it's not keeping your computer cool. CPU fans usually never cause much trouble, but maybe you could look into getting quieter fans.

Asus K53SD HARDDRIVE SLOW

- Stop Overclocking your CPU.
- Make sure your Heat Sink is placed properly above the processor.
- Clean the Processor fan, Heat Sink and other peripherals.
- Use High Speed fans.
- Use CPU Heat Sink Paste in the processor.
- Fix OS registry with reliable program like I always use Reginout.
- Shut down your computer atleast two hour a day.

Start by identifying the processes which are using the cpu and stop them or disable the processes which are causing the usage.

CPU over heats and shut down PSU. Already cleaned the heat sink and put new Thermal grease to it, it worked for about one hour and then it started again

Did you check to make sure that your CPU fan is running properly? if it sounds rough or noisy or becomes intermittent could explain your problem. "The brand of laptop also would be helpful"

Cpu running slow, even causing audio to chatter.

Yes it may affect your speed so whenever you sit on your pc just clean temporary file
  • start
  • run
  • type %temp%
  • tap enter and delete all the files
by this the speed can be improved

Computer shuts down after 15 mintues or so. Replaced power supply, so thats not the problem. After 10 mintues computer might come back on. Sometimes the fans will come on and nothing else. It very...

Will it run in safe mode? If so, then the problem is software.
If not, you most likely have a heat problem. Blow all the dust out of the fans and the CPU heat sink.
Not knowing how old the computer is, whenever I see a time-related problem like this I suspect heat build-up.
I'd even go so far as to take the heat sink off of the CPU, apply heat sink paste, and reseat heatsink and try to start it again.

It sounds like one of the capacitators inside the monitor is malfunctioning, these little things store a certain amount of necessary power and then discharge it when it is needed.  If it is malfunctioning, it could explain why it takes so long to charge, and why when you hit it, it suddenly comes on.
