Re: xbox 360 not getting video we have audio.
Its a similar problem to the 3rrod, the video is blank but audio still playing. the fix is the same as if you were doing a rrod console. replacing the heatsinks, reflow the whole board, replacing the heatsink paste and adding heat conducting pads to the memory chip. we can do this for you or can help you try to fix this yourself. www.fixmyconsole.co.uk

Check the audio video cables first. This could be caused by loose or incorrectly plugged in cables. If the cables are all plugged in firmly and correctly then the Xbox 360 has gotten a broken connection to the graphics chip. The Console will need to be professionally repaired unfortunately. If you are out of warranty or don't want to give Microsoft anymore $$ GATpro Repair Shop could help you.
You say the component video is no good? Well this usually happens when it is wired up incorrectly, Ensure you have the right colors in the right jacks at each end, it is real easy to get mixed up... make sure Red goes to Red, Blue to Blue and Green to green, all alongside each other, NO ALSO using Component you MUST also run 2 more cables for the Audio, they are Red & White NOT the Red from the "Other" Video input, BUT the AV Red & White jacks, beside each other on the units. So all in all there are 5 cables taking the Video, 3 R, G, B. + The Audio, R & W.
If your TV is HD, you should definitely be connecting the component video cables (green, blue and red) from the 360 to the TV (the 321 will not do video pass-thru from component cables).
-Make sure you have a picture at this point. (TV switched to whichever input you connect the 360 to)
You can get an RCA extension cable for the audio portion (red and white) to connect to the 321 for audio. You could also connect an optical audio cable to the 321. An optical cable must be assigned from the system menu to work..
Let me know if this helps.
the problem all the time with the 360 is on the cable that gose into the back of the xbox has a small switch on the side of it my suspisions are its at hd slide the switch to tv then re set it this should work fine
I'm almost positive the problem is the audio cable. If everything else is working fine, you'll need to replace the audio/video cables. I've had that problem and I just bought the new cables and it worked like a beaut!
