I have had several technicians at my parents house they have a sanyo pdp42xr9da with remote rcj17oa the remote dosent talk to tv we have had the tv for two years it did work but now dosent please suggest what you think would help

You can purchase a replacement remote. There are several web sites that have the remote for your Sanyo TV. Just do search " replacement remote for SanyoDP42849. That way you'll have all the fucntions for the TV.

Which of the several models of RCA remotes do you have? The RCA remote code finder is available here: http://remotefinder.rca.com/default.aspx?site=rca . Select your remote, then TV, then Sanyo.

1. try to buy the Universal Remote Control at the electronics store near in your area.
2, before paying for it look for compatible units at the users manual indicating the Brand of TV with corresponding CODE for you to configure in your TV.
3, just follow the instruction when its done try to explore your URC and enjoy watching your tv. Thank You .

Try the second link first but here is a link to some codes for sanyo TV's but I think they are for older models because they are 3 digits.I'm pretty sure the flat screens have 4 digits so hang on.

Here are some 4 digit codes.The remote which the links say they are for may not necessarily be your remote,but I'm 99% sure that no matter what brand,the numbers are basically the same.If these do not work,just reply to this post and I will get an auto email for it.Also,you could call Sanyo and get an original one for your TV but they are more expensive but they also have better control options.

Without a model number I'll have to list several solutions.

Push Vol Down and Chan Up on the set at the same time, Then go to password screen and enter 0000.

Reduce Vol to minimum and hold Vol Down on set and Vol Down on remote.

Hold Vol Down on TV while pushing "TV" button on remote for 3 seconds.

With TV OFF, press and hold Vol Down on TV and "Clear" on remote for five (5) seconds.

Press "Menu" button on TV and "TV" button on remote for 3 seconds.
Some models use the Vol Down button on remote instead of "TV" button on remote.

With Remote go to Parental Menu and enter 2211 for code.

Go to parental Menu and press Mute, Display, Clear, Reset in sequence on the Remote.

Press "Menu" button on the set and Vol Down on Remote for 3 to 5 seconds.

With remote go to parental screen and press Chan Up and Vol Up on the front of set for 3 to 5 seconds.

You didn't supply enough information about the URC-20D1F or the Sanyo device. I am assuming the URC is an RCA branded device - but I can't seem to locate that model number. I don't know what an "LTD Sanyo" is - TV, VCR., ??

Regardless - RCA is also known as Thompson Consumer Electronics. They have additional information for RCA, GE and Proscan branded remote control units. Have a look at the link below - there are some Sanyo codes that may work for your device.

if the remote for the all in One tv has a red Okay/Select button then the codes for it are five digits long. And here they are for a Sanyo tv:10154, 10088, 10159
