Unlock problems with LG cu720

I have the unlock code, which i used without the original sim for the phone, so i now have the phone unlocked (sort of) still in unlock process, but i can't useany sim to get it finished. if i try to unlock it again it just says phone is not personalized.

Hello, try to asking to online unlock code seller. As my knowledge blackberry phones still can unlocked even we don't know the original network sim card. Blackberry can use MEP to finding out what is the original network. Or you can try LG GW300 unlock code based on original country of your phones. I means try to find LG unlock code for your phones at online store based on original country not by network. I hope my solution can solve your problem.

LG U990 Unlocking InstructionsWarning : Do not enter any wrong unlock codes on your LG U990 mobile phones. If you enter over a certain amount of wrong unlock codes on your LG U990 mobile phone, your phone may get hard locked and sometimes become unusable.
1. Switch ON your LG U990 with its ORIGINAL SIM Card.
2. Press the telephone icon at bottom of screen to bring up the LG U990 keypad.
3. Enter 2945#*990#.

Need unlock code for lg shine
When you place a new or a existing SIM card from another phone provider into your mobile phone and it asks for a Security code then :-
This phone is locked to the original mobile phone provider. You need to contact this mobile provider to ask for the unlock code (security code) for this phone. You need to provide proof of ownership etc and the phone's unique IMEI number which is located inside the phone under the battery. They use this number to generate the unlock code for your phone.
They should provide you with instructions on how to enter this code into the phone.
Once you unlock the phone, then you can insert a new SIM card in this phone or sign up with another phone provider using this phone.

Where do I enter the unlock code on my lg shine TU720?

Follow the below procedure :-

1. Insert the original network SIM
2. Enter *#865625#. Enter the unlocking code. Press OK.
6. It should give you the message Success.

Unlock code for LG cell model cu720
On the AT&T Network, to unlock the LG Shine or CU720, it’s pretty simple:
  • Put a AT&T or Cingular SIM in the phone; it does not have to be an active SIM
  • Enter *#865625# then the 16 digit unlock code*
  • Device should say: Network Lock Deactivated
  • Phone may automatically reboot
*The 16 digit code can be obtained by calling AT&T Technical Support and given the representative the IMEI number. In exchange they will give you the Subsidy Unlock Code.
To obtain the IMEI number, type *#06# on your device. This is a 17 digit number and it is not the same as the unlock code, this is the IMEI number to give to AT&T Technical Support in exchange for the 16 digit Subsidy Unlock Code.

to get the (16 digits code) call att and tell them you are traveling overseas, it may take two calls.
,but they should give it to you the (16 digits code)
OR
Insert non ATT SIM
Power up
Showing 'Invalid Smart Chip'
Enter *#865625#
This will take you to a screen saying you are about to unlock your phone. Do you want to proceed.
Select yes (left button)
Enter your 16digits code.
Hit OK
Enter your code again
Hit OK.

Now the phone is unlocked

It requires 2 inputs of the unlock code.
