Try this -remove both cartridges , carefully. Look carefully at both white ribbon cables directly in front of the cartridge heads You will see the cable and some gold contacts. Also you will see a piece of wire which retains and signals the machine that the cartridges are loaded correctly. There is one for each cartridge. While examining the ribbon cable look for a small hole or perferation in the cable. This can be caused by the wire not being aligned when the cartridges are replaced. If there is a hole in the ribbon assembly. You have to order the whole cartridge and ribbon assembly. This is a major repair and can cost almost as much as a new printer. I know this because , I just bought two on line one the ribbon cable was punctured and the other wasn't. I made one that worked out of two. Good Luck!!! Scrivitron

E002 error


Symptom

E000/002/003/261/733 may occur when connecting the machine with power source having much noise, such
as a private power generator

The power line noise prevents the normal operation of zero cross signals, causing poor control of power supply

Getting error #1208 cartridge error.. just replaced black cartridge with new one and printer has printed about 50 copies prior to this error

This generally means a fatal error, however. I would go to www.hp.com
click on support and troubleshooting on lower left of this page then in the next window click on contact HP and under that Chat online . the online techician can give you help with the code and a solution if there is one.
