Not connected in my yahoo.URL not found..pls.help When someone sends me a link via yahoo messenger, and I try opening it, I always get "URL can not be found" message, if I'll copy the url and paste it the browser address box, the page will open properly.

i got the same problem with my ym 11 too.. but honestly looks like its ym problem that it may just work whenever it want to.. :( but try this.. open Yahoo Messenger click on "Messenger" (on top), choose "Connection Preferences" select "Connect via Proxy Server" try to log in ..
if it doesn't work put it back to the original settings, same instruction go to YM, click Messenger then Connection Preferences select "Connect directly to the Internet".. this time try to disconnect your internet connection first.. and then with your YM open enter your username & password but dont click "connect" yet.. connect to internet & log in to ym (you should click "connect on ym right after a second you are connected to the internet)

first be sure you entered your username and password correctly. In offline mode select from the top left corner of the messenger window: messenger >
connection preferences. See if your connection is set to connect via a proxy server. If true, Select connect directly to the internet by selecting the radio button. Insert your login details again and try. That should solve it.

Please make sure your internet is fast, yahoo does not log in when connection dips. if connection speed is ok then install another messenger called "Pidgin" it is freely available for download.

meanwhile open the realted e-mail inbox of the yahoo id and sign out. if inbox is not opening them try the "i lost my password" options and reset your password, then try logging in the messenger with the new password.

The connection trouble shooter opens when there is a connection sign-in issue. To fix it:

1. Make sure all of your cables are connected.
2. Restart your modem or router.

That should do it! If that doesn't work, uninstall Yahoo Messenger and re-install.

Webcam not Connected ( to your Messenger ) can usually be overcome by setting your Messenger Internet Connection

MESSENGER INTERNET CONNECTION

Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'No proxies' or 'Connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes, If not change them > Apply > OK

Go to Forgot password option that comes with sign in option.They will ask u for your yahoo id (of which your password has not been working/hacked),and they will ask for an another id like g-mail id of your's on which they could send u the password resetting links.If u don't have any another g-mail id make a new one and give it to them.
Immediately they will send u some links on your given g-mail id through which u can reset your passward.

Try to sign in to Yahoo! by going to the Yahoo! sign in page and enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 4: Verify Credentials
Verify that the same Yahoo! ID and password you used before in the last step also works in the online version of Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger for the Web:

enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 5: Check Connection Settings
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect directly to the Internet, and then click OK.

Check by Changing the connection type to a connection via a proxy server:
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect via a proxy server, then under this option, select HTTP proxy, and then click OK.


Last is Uninstall all the Yahoo Tool Bars and Yahoo applications , Yahoo Messenger, and Yahoo Updates from Program list i.e Control panel - Add/Rem Programs ..
And reinstall the Yahoo Messenger again -
