Downloading embroidary designs for the Janome MC 350E

What would be a easy way to download designs on a card? I am not real technical, but you should be able to download and open these by using your USB port. There has got to be a less expensive way instead of buying their customizer. Can you help. Thanks, Kay

do you have to format the card each time you want to download a design from computer to sewing machine? I can't get the designs to load on my sewing machine. It acts like it is transfered but nothing is there! HELP! Janome mc 9700

HELP! Love my Janome MC 9700 but have so much trouble downloading designs! I use the scandisk and card....I format the card on the sewing machine and then go to the computer...put the card in the scandisk which is conneted to the computer. Then go to the emb file and copy the design to the card. Then take the card over to the sewing machine...insert the card into the sewing machine, click on the card file button. It acts like it is loading...the "don't turn off your machine" sign comes on....but then I can't fine the designs!

What am I doing wrong? Thinking of buying a MB 4 but don't know if it easier to download designs. Does anyone know?

Firstly, format your compact flash card on your embroidery machine. This is presuming you have embroidery files in your jef format your machine reads on your computer. Place your compact flash in the compact flash card reader writer connected to your computer, open the compact flash card in your computer, open the file emb5. Now you can simply copy and paste a design from your computer to your flash card. It works for me. Goodluck.

Scandick will not read to my janome 9700. It says fat error cannot read card

The customizer is the only way with the janome machines to transfer to machine, and then you need either usb stick or scan disk, to transfer to the card, if I new your email I could send something to you in a zipped folder.

Does the 350e only use 350e memory cards ?

I do not believe so--my 300e uses standard flash memory cards plugged into an adapter--the salesperson tried to tell me I needed a very expensive add-on--it isn't so! The instruction manual will probably explain it.

Using bigger than 64 MB compact Flash Cards

I have the same machine and if you watch the dvd included with the machine it says to use a MC no bigger than 1 gb. I use a 512mb and it works fine. Your computer may not have a MC port so you will have to purchase a memory card reader which you can purchase on ebay or at Fry's for around 10 dollars. All the files need to be saved on the MC card as a SEW or JEF file. When you go to your machine touch the emb. key then the disc key and you should see your files. You may also need to turn the page; sometimes it save it on different pages.

Problems with the memory card

HI Have you contacted either the dealer you bought the machine from or Janome directly? There is a Janome group on the internet at Yahoogroups...maybe someone there would have the answer? I've been told that the owner of Janome monitors the group--that is WOW for an international company to pay attention to the customers! Good luck, pat

Janome MC 10000 with Easy Transfer using jef files

Your internal memory files could be full and need some designs deleted, the monogram design might not be centred in the hoop so it registers outside the sewing field, The hoop selected might be too small for the design.
