Google " hirens boot cd" download and burn it, insert the burnt dc into your computer and power on. In the hires boot dc menu there should be a "boot windows xp" option.

Insert the windows xp bootable cd and restart the computer and when it shows "press f10 to enter setup" quickly press the f10 key...Now you will come to bios ,now there check the bootable device configuration..the cd rom should be first and then the hard drive.Be sure to check the cd rom as the first boot drive and then save the bios and restart the computer.After you reboot it should boot from the windows xp cd ...........

First insert your cd in the cd/dvd drive and then simply restart the computer and it will boot automatically. If it does not boot automatically then go to boot menu and select cd/dvd to the first in the booting order. It will then boot automatically.

Find someone with that copy of iwndows and copy the cd are use it to boot the system and fix the re-installation.... if bye chance the virus is still there, a fresh installation will get rid of it, jus be sure to get the drivers first though... (you can use drivermax for that!)

1 put widows XP CD in to your CD drive
2 restart your PC
3 it will boot your CD just put Enter
4 if not then selact boot option by presing F12 0r F2
5 it will start reding your CD

then just folow the instruction

it will ask you foue setps

Insataling windows xp problms
i believ ur using 32 bit operating system.change the boot sequence by pressing F12 at restart and select cd/dvd rom option while the windows cd still inside the drive,,format the c drive completely{if possible format the whole hdd} and then reinstall the windows os xp..i hope it will work fine,,just follow the screen prompts very very carefully and u will find everything mentioned,,best of luck

Unable to boot win xp cd. not detected by compaq presario 5000 series interneal cd rom LTN 403 DQ24
Drive requires cd drivers to run Boot CD.
Some versions came with floppy disk to start cdrom drives, This will also require a floppy drive.

You may also try hitting f10 to enter bios setup make sure cdrom is bootable.

Hope this helps...

These are the normal steps on desktop computers but
should work in your case too with a fresh installation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Enter bios settings and set CD Drive as first boot device

2. After reboot if you are asked if you want to start on cd chose yes.

3. start Win Xp installation from cd.

4. delete partiton on C; drive

5. create new partition

6. Start installation and format the c:drive

7. Follow the installation instructions,,,

Is it a restart with a blue screen? Is it XP?
If it is XP do the following:
Boot the laptop with a Win XP cd.
When you boot with the Win XP install CD-ROM, it loads a minimal operating system, similar to DOS, but compatible with Win XP. At the first screen you select install Win XP (not Recovery Console) and at the next screen it will find that you already have Win XP and offer to attempt a repair. This repair should not touch your applications, it just reinstalls the Windows files. This is great because when it works you don't need to reinstall all your software.
