Question about Dell 926 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have an All in One 926 Dell printer. It gets hung up when trying to print.

"I eithier have to restart the computer to release the print job or go into Control Panel, Printers, Select Printers, Printing Preference, click order supplies, then one print job in que will print. This started when I stopped ordering cartriages online through Dell and began purchasing them in in stores. Exact same Dell cartriages. What to do?"

Try un installing the printer then re installing it.

Error 1203 for Dell Printer AIO 926


Ok Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Printer status window interface stopped working dell AIO 926


I know this sounds too simple, but get a new USB cord. I had the exact same problem and it was driving me crazy. I followed all the advice about uninstalling, reinstalling and updating multiple times and it never fixed the problem. Finally, my husband made the simple suggestion that maybe it was a problem with the connectivity of the USB cord. I didn't have much faith in it, but I bought a new USB cord and hooked it up - and I have never had a problem with the printer since then. My original USB cord (the one replaced) was the one that came with the Dell printer - perhaps there is a flaw in the cord somewhere. ?

Dell 926 won't recognize new color cartridge


Try this...shut down the printer. Insert new cartridge, let the printer cycle out with new cartridge. then reboot the computer. This should solve the problem. The cache in the printer will not cycle out. It wants to see the printer as a new entity

Try reinstalling the drivers for your printer. You should have a disk that came with the printer. If you don't then you will have to search the Dell website for the drivers. Once you have found them, reinstall them and see how that works out.

printer wont print anything. computer says no print documents pending even though ive clicked print a few times and on different programs and internet pages as well. printer will print only if i copy something press print test page from the printer itself but it doesnt print anything from the computer

Can't print


Step 1. Go to Control Panel--Windows updates; click Check for Updates--Windows is sending updates for different printers. If there is one install it. See if that takes care of the problem.
If not, go to Step 2.

Step 2.---Turn on the Printer---go to Control Panel---Device Manager. Under device manager look for any yellow exclamation point, if there are any under "Imaging device" or Portable Devices, then there is something wrong with the driver. Go to www.dell.com at the top type in 926 printer, the next page click on the first result "Install Dell 926 All-In-One Printer Drivers. Follow the directions one by one, start with the first and work your way down.

There is a firmware update release 1/6/2008 for the Dell 926
Go to www.dell.com home page. Go to Support and Help in the middle of the screen, put the cursor over it and click Drivers and Downloads; next screen identify your model: Select Model-Printer; select you product line--click on Printer; next page Select you Product Model 926 (Personal All-In-One) click on it;
then confirm Under Printers click the plus sign and it will give you 4 options, choose the firmware option. DO NOT INSTALL THIS FIRMWARE UNDER YOU HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE. SOMETIMES FIRMWARE CAN MAKE DEVICES INOPERABLE.
