Greeting,
Do the white line clear when it goes in to the Operating Sysem? If so this is a normal process, The startup is hidden in the Bios, That can be rectified by unchecking it in the bios. If the lines are still there during normal operations are the lines still in the same place or do the shuffle around?
Letme know
Be mucho blessed,
Mark

Blank screen

A white blank screen? That sounds like the virus changed your display settings. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager. Press and hold the Ctrl key plus the Alt Key then hit the Del key. When the task manager opens up Click File at the upper left corner of the window then select New Task RUN. When the create New Task Window opens type: explorer.exe and hit OK. See if it starts populating your desktop icons and shows the start menu and task bar. If so, the virus changed your settings.

To change your display background click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When it opens select the Desktop tab and change the desktop background. Hopefully the white will go away.

You may have to get into Safe Mode to do the above if the virus disabled the Task Manager.

Aftr i start n log onto my pc... I can see d mouse but d entire screen is blank!!! Pls say what to do

Hi there,

We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Which is the operating system?
What exactly happens when you start the PC?
Is it Blinking cursor with a black screen?

Then its black screen error.

Firstly, there appears to be many causes of the black screen issue. The symptoms are very distinctive and troublesome. After starting your Windows 7, Vista, XP, NT, W2K, W2K3 or W2K8 PC or server the system appears normal. However, after logging on there is no desktop, task bar, system tray or side bar. Instead you are left with a totally black screen and a single My Computer Explorer window. Even this window might be minimized making it hard to see.
If you have these symptoms you can safely try this for free Black Screen Fix. It will fix the most common cause we have seen of this issue. Running the fix program is easy under normal circumstances, simply download with your browser using the link above and run the program. However, if you are trying to do this from the PC which has the black screen it is a bit more tricky. In these circumstances follow the procedure below:

1) Restart your PC

2) Logon and wait for the black screen to appear

3) Make sure your PC should be able to connect to the internet (black screen does not appear to affect this)

4) Press the CTRL, ALT and DEL keys simultaneously

5) When prompted, Click Start Task Manager

6) In Task Manager Click on the Application Tab

7) Next Click New Task

8) Now enter the command:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://info.prevx.com
/download.asp?GRAB=BLACKSCREENFIX"

Note this command assumes that you are using internet explorer as your browser, if not substitute your browser path and file details for those of iexplore.exe or use the Browser option of Task manager to locate it.

9) Click OK and your browser should start up and begin the download process

10) When prompted for the download Click run, the black screen fix program will download and run to automatically fix the issue.

11) Now restart your PC and the black screen problem will hopefully be gone.

Hope this helps.
Cheers!!

It was suggested that I find my task bar in order to correct the

probably you just messed up the settings ...if you still can click on start ...just right click near the user name ..and properties will appear..click on it ..and you have the settings choice for both the task bar ..and the start menu ...I really hope you will handle it ..
if not ..just try to make a system restore task ..and assuming that you no longer have the start ..just click on my computer ..than in the side task bar (left ) you will have tasks and other places...there look for control panel ..and click on it ..
be sure the control panel is on the category view..(it has a task in the same left task bar) ..and in the category view click on performance and maintenance ...in this moment you have a second task in the left bar named system restore..click on it ...and follow instructions..choose to restore to an earlier point ...than choose one highlighted date in tha tab ...that you know for sure the computer was fine ...and proceed..If you are lucky and the system was not affected by another kinda virus...and is not a case for reinstallation...your system will restore itself after the reboot to an earlier setting stage ..

Startup fails to complete properly

When on the screen, and you have no icons hold control(ctrl) down and shift key and press escape(esc) your windows task manager should appear, goto the applications tab, at the bottom goto the tab New Task and left click, another window should appear with a text bar, type in the text bar explorer.exe and click ok, all the icons and your normal screen should reapear.

If your screen goes back to normal goto the start bar and goto run or search and type "regedit".
When the regedit window appears left click the " + " sign next to Hkey_local_mechine the the plus sign on software, scroll down to Microsoft folder and click the plus sign, scroll down to Windows nt folder and click the plus sign, the plus sign on Current version folder, then scroll down to winlogon folder and left click on the folder icon, on the right hand side of the screen look for "shell" double click on the icon and delete everything in the text bar and type explorer.exe and click ok and exit out of the window, restart the pc and everything should be back to normal.

pls post back and tell me what happens.cheers.

Toshiba Satellite P105-S6124 Screen lines

Are these lines on the screen during the whole boot process? If so then the screen cpu and/or the video cpu has gone bad. Connect an external monitor. If the picture is clear, no lines, then the problem is the LCD screen. If the lines appear on the external monitor during the boot process then the mother board will need replacement.

Good Luck

The Task manger & Registry editor is disable What is Problem?

your pc is infected by virus. I suggest you to scan it using Avast Antivirus with updated virus definition database(you can easily update it online after installation)... Formatting will not solve the problem because viruses are present on other partions of your system. Your pc is most probably infected by Win32 type of virus.. I suggest you to install antivirus and scan it as soon as possible..

My taskbar does not appear when I am viewing web pages

It sounds like you have your task bar set to auto hide. I'm not too familiar with this brand of laptop but if you are using windows you should be able to follow these instructions to fix this. If you know how to get to the control panel (start menu) and click on appearance and themes there should be a task bar and start menu icon there. Click on that icon and select how you want your task bar to be displayed.
