Primavera Report Writer - Reports Don't Group the Same for Other Users

I'm the SysAdmin for Primavera 6.1 at our site. I've created reports from Report Wizard using an existing layout. I've grouped it to 3 levels. When I run the saved report I see all three groupings. But when someone else runs the report they only see the first one. I've checked their security levels and increased them to the highest, short of admin. They still don't see the same groupings. I've had them create their own reports using the same layout (in which they see also see all three groupings) but when they run the report it still doesn't show the groupings. Anyone have a suggestion?

open control panel. open ODBC Data source administrator. now look for anything with MS Access in any tabs. If you found none, then your registry is spammed and must be restored...try using windows restore utility [do this sequence: start-all programs-accessories-system tools-system restore. run it and look for a calendar date before your problem. If you had system restore turned off, the solution may be to attempt a re-installation of windows XP.] ... if you find some, then attempt to determine if they point to the correct sources (or drives).

Hi. It's best to link to departments, as they will normally show up on the standard report at the end of the day.

Turn key to Program mode.



Now type the PLU number you want to link. E.g if you want to link PLU 6, then press 6 on the number pad (don't press the actual PLU, just type its number on the number pad)

Now press the button marked PLU. It should be near the other function buttons.

Now type the department number to link to. Use two digits. E.g to link to dept 5, type 05 on the number pad.

Press CASH


Once you have linked your PLUs to various departments, just name the departments to suit. If you are not sure how to change dept text, just let me know.

We use EcoSys Financial Manager to manage both budget reports and cash dispersments based on the data entered in Primavera P6. It's written by the same people who built P6 originally, and enhances Primavera's cost management and reporting capabilities. We had it up and running in a week.

Hello, How can I get my Pc America to run reports on full size they seem to only show up on screen as receipt paper size. AND they print like that too.

You may be able to enlarge the image size of the report after you paste or import it into Word. Or, open the Properties/Preferences of your printer. Here you can select to print normal size or enlarge the image.

Within a specific department I've created, I've added several categories. I know how to add items to departments but I am having trouble adding items to the specific categories. What steps do

You have the order backwards. Top order is categories such as FOOD or LIQUOR. Then comes Departments such as APPETIZERS, ENTREES, DESSERT. Then items like RIBEYE STEAK, BAKED POTATO, SALAD. And categories are entirely optional. They only come into play if needed to group departments on certain reports. They don't display, just departments and items.

If you know when your last end-of-day report was run (look at top of report), you can run end-of-day reports for each day by adjusting the computer's clock.
Example: It is Friday, and your last report was run Monday at 11PM. Adjust date/time to Tuesday at 11PM and run end-of-day. Then adjust date/time to Wednesday at 11PM and run end-of-day. Don't forget to set clock correctly or sales will be entered at the wrong date/time.

Printing Service Reports
1. To access Service reports, follow the Entering UI Diagnostics procedure.
2. After entering the Access Number, press the Machine Status button on the Control
3. Select the Billing Meter/Print Reports tab on the display.
4. Press the Print Reports/List button.
5. Press the CE button.
6. The following reports can be printed.
• Debug Log Report
• HFSI Report
• Jam Report
• Shutdown Report
• Failure Report
• Protocol Monitor Report
7. Select the required report and press the Start button. The selected report will be printed.

Primavera financial reporting

Have you considered creating a regular export from P6 and using Access or some other reporting tool to generate your reports? I could set you something if I new the specifics of what you are trying to get.
