Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 Digital Camera
I ONLY USED MY SONY DSC-H9 ABOUT 5 TIMES OVER THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. IT HAS NEVER BEEN DROPPED. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAMERA STARTED POWERING DOWN WITHIN A FEW SECONDS AFTER TURNING IT ON. I USE 2 BATTERIES AND I CHARGED THEM BOTH AND TRIED THEM BOTH WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT WON'T STAY POWERED UP AT ALL THEN IT WILL POWER UP AND WITHIN NA FEW SECONDS IT POWERS BACK DOWN. IF I START TO TAKE SOME SHOTS AS SOON AS IT POWERS UP IT WILL STAY POWERED ENOUGH TO TAKE MAYBE 2 OR 3 SHOTS THEN POWERS DOWN AND I HAVE TO START OVER. NOW IT HAS BEEN SITTING ON A SHELF FOR 6 MONTHS, JUST TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE TO USE THIS WAY.
I think that both your batteries are bad. Because the batteries have sat on a shelf not being used the batteries will only take a surface charge and not fully charge. Bum a battery from someone with a Sony that uses the same battery and see if that works.
