HI,
Ones you install graphics card then the display connection with motherboard will not work.

1. Remove the display connection for your monitor from motherboard.
2. And connect it in Graphics card display port.

Hope it will help you.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Turn on my computer, I can hear the fans, no beep noise upon starting. Screen says no signal found. I tried other monitor cables and monitor. No dice.

one of 2 things is happening a) if you have changed the cord and tried other moniters then the display port beit vga or dvi on you computer is broken you will either if you have agraphics card already installed then replace that but if you have no dedicated grapichs card you need to replace the mother bord
B) check your moniter to see if there is a source button if there is then push it to see if the image comes up repeat up to 3 times
ps: if you have a dedicated graphics card look at the back of you computer and if there are 2 different display ports be it dvi or vga (google image the terms "vga port" and "dvi port" to see what they look like) then plug it into the other on to see if the graphics card is broken

My hp moniter stopped working like a fuse blew. i was wondering if it has an internal fuse and how to get to it. It's an HP vs19b moniter. thanks for any help

Hi,

Thank you for choosing FixYa. I recommend try going to any computer local center and have them check your monitor because there could be other parts have been affected by that problem, there could be other hardware that cause the problem why the fuse failed.

Hope it helps.

I have sony vaio desktop. My moniter keeps going off and on. Tried different moniter does the same thing. Could it be something that the desktop might be causing. Also, last year I replaced my power...

When you say 'on and off' you have not indicated if the whole power on the monitor is going on and off or if the monitor remains turned on but the screen display goes on and off.
Is the monitor power plugged through the socket on the pc or direct to a power outlet?
multiplug power outlet boards are often a source of power failure.
Did you try a different power lead for the monitor and b) a different wall socket?
If it is the screen display that is intermittent you should check the graphics card is fully seated (if it's a separate one)

Hi I am fairly good with computers but i dont know how to fix this problem. My advent 7113 laptop turns on the power light comes on and they the fan starts but am not sure if the harddisk boots. Then...

It sounds like Either the onboard video card or the LCD controller has gone bad. To verify which one connect a monitor to the VGA adapter on the back of the Laptop. You may also have to hit a key combination to swap displays (Usually <Fn> + <F5> but may be different the keys usually have an offset that indicates its function.

If the Monitor displays the same black and white anomaly then the vid card went bad, if it displays a normal screen your LCD controller is faulty.

Either problem would likely need service from an experienced technician

Hope this helps

ONLY STREAKS OF COLORS when TURNING ON!

the problem is the update you downloaded someone mixed with your graphic chip.. causeing it to only display dots and lines. the hp logo with the back round is the start up page. here are 2 ideas you might wanna try.

1. if your graphics car is in a AGP or PCI, pull it out and try useing the default card build in the computer.. if it is the default go out and bye a cheap graphics card and see if that works.. if not return it and get your money back.

2. try useing a diffrent moniter.. your moniter might of blown out. if that still dont fix it you might need to contact HP or the moniters manufactuer.

hope this helped!

Volume from my screen is almost non existent. I have the volume on my keyboard all the way up and I have gone to windows and cranked up wave etc, however, all to no avail.

First make sure you have them plugged in the right hole (normaly green), Try reinstalling the sound drivers. If not try a different set off speakers, Also check the moniters volume control.
Hope that helps you, Thanks

How to repair the screen of Advent 7092 Window XP version. Help Please!

This may not be damage, it could be the wrong driver.
Go to the control panel, look at the device menu to see if the display is possibly marked as not working correctly.
Then look at the display settings to see if new driver alternatives have appeared.

Incorrect drivers can damage a display; I've seen it happen (unfortunately).
