After i insert DVD it reads then say HO2 then STOP= how do i fix this

You will need to get a can of the compressed air or use an air compressor if you have one. Then remove the housing cover if you can and use the compressed air to blow out any dust and debris inside the unit. Also blow air into the inside of the dvd tray. This has been the common fix for the HO2 error on your DVD player. You could also use a DVD lens cleaning kit.

Dvd wont play ...each time you insert a DVD it shows DVD HO2...

I had the same Problem, player was only 13months old when the error HO2 appeared (typical huh?) anyway 2 years of this thing getting shifted from cupboard, wardrobe, attic, (did'n't want to throw it out cause it cost me £700), finally it came to fix it or bin it time. scoured the net to no avail, lost the rag and half dismantled it..then during all of this ( oops I'm going on a bit LOL)
you can hear a sound as though the disc is trying to be read, after 100's of attempts to get it to work, I finally noticed the disc had not changed position. (disc was not spinning) pointed to the Motor??
what I did to fix this was unplug from main's, remove top cover until you can see the top of the dvd disc, got hold of a pencil with a rubber on one end, plug back in, switch power on, and gently pushed top of disc ( clockwise ) and it kick started it off

that was over 3 years ago and the player is still going strong
I know its a bit rough, but nothing ventured nothing gained ;)

CODE: HO2

i think the problem is an accumulation of dust. try cleaning it out with a can of compressed air, or if you dont have that, by blowing on the lens gently.

My DVD player won't play i'm getting a code HO2 on the display screen. ModeL # DVD-RV31

this is what i got from Josh Smith Online, this work-around requires opening the appliance, so before you start and follow this, please check on the warranty status of the unit.

error HO2 which more or less means the unit is shot. The problem centers round a spindle issue that is a known design flaw. Basically what happens is that the spindle gets warm, expands, and is then pushing on the top of the player .

You can see the tray which rotates with the DVD in. To fix this HO2 error I first had to start the spin by pushing the dvd counterclockwise gently. After that the DVD player would work but only without the cover on. This is the solution for now, though I plan to modify the case some in order to use the cover again. For now the DVD player slides into our entertainment stand and hides the fact that the cover is missing.

HO2 Error???

The problem with your unit is the "Spindle Motor", this motor is the one that spins the disc so the laser can read it. I sugest you to take your player to a shop, or back for service if the unit still under manufacturer warranty.
