Question about Car Audio Receivers
Hi. Have just brought a KRC-390 from our local auto dismantler. What are the connections I should make? Speakers OK, but the others?
Have a Black, presumeably earth, a red with 7.5A fuse (+ve?), a yellow with 3A fuse, and a blue/white wire.
Will it work with just the Black to earth and red to +ve 12V, or do I need to bother with the others (no CD changer, no electric aerial.
Thank you very much
SOURCE: need wiring diagram
red is power, yellow is constant 12v for memory.blue is power antenna, purple and purple with stripe is rear right speaker, green and green with stripe is rear left speaker.white and white with black stripe is front left, and gray and gray with black stripe is right front speaker. the power antenna can be used as a remote source to turn on the power amplifier.

Head unit color code:
Illumination or Dimmer-Orange/Orange w/white stripe
Blue wwhite stripe-Amp turn on
(Black stripes negative)
If you have a female harness to connect to the veicle side you will pretty much color match. The only exception is that you may only have an amp turn on wire but only a power antenna on the vehicle. In this case you would connect blue w/white stripe wire from radio harness to the blue antenna wire on the vehicle side.
If you are doing a hardwire (factory plug has been cut off) you can obtain a wiring code for your vehicle at www.the12volt.com for most vehicles.
