Question about JVC GR-D250 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
When playing back and exporting to computer the monitor shows horizontal bands that are superimposed on the image thats been recorded. Some times it looks like a residual image from the previous recording and when importing to Imovie the bands are made up of a mosaic of colors. I have cleaned the heads and still this happens.
I have seen this many times, and it is usually always dirty heads, and it is a bigger problem when you record in long play. If the heads were dirty when the tape was recorded, then that is how the image was stored and will stay that way. So make sure you clean the heads before an important recording. Try cleaning them again with a new cleaning tape, and it just might come good if it was originally recorded fine.
