A couple weeks ago, I dropped my phone in water. I took it out, but didn't act quickly. I just came home took the power source out and blow dried it. The phone works fine, the front screen works, but won't light up. The Main screen doesn't work, the screen is completely black. If i put it up in the light, I can see it,but I have to look real hard. And the keypads and stuff won't light up. How can I fix this?

Re: I got it wet!!
The first thing is to know if the phone dropped in salted or fresh water. If was in salted water, forget it, you let it pass so much time, but if was fresh water, try to open the phone ( get a Torx 6 or 8 screwdriver in home depot) and use pure alcohol with and old toothbrush and clean the mineral deposited on the circuits, gentle brush it and let it dry, then reasemble the phone a it will work perfect

Many of you get your mobile phone wet by one way or another. You worry as you mistakenly drop your mobile phone in water. It can also get wet if you are out in a heavy rain. However, there is no need to panic. It is possible to save your wet mobile phone by quickly repairing it. In order to save your mobile phone from water damage, you can consider these easy and simple solutions:
Act rapidly :
The first thing you have to do in order to save your wet mobile phone is to act rapidly. Quickly remove all the detachable parts as well as covers possible such as the back cover, battery, the SIM card, memory card etc. Next, take a piece of cloth or a tissue paper to wipe the excess water you are able to notice within the mobile phone. Make sure that you dry it completely. If you don' t do this, the water inside the mobile phone will begin to evaporate and gather in places which will be difficult to reach.
This will save your wet mobile phone and it will start working if it was under water for just a little while.
Using a hairdryer :
Take a hairdryer and begin drying the mobile phone while giving more consideration to the place where the battery is located. The battery housing usually consists of tiny holes to let in air (so giving more space for water) inside the mobile phone.
Make sure that you are not holding the hairdryer very near to the mobile phone. Keeping it too close to the mobile phone may harm the electrical mechanism of the mobile phone. Keep on drying the mobile phone from a safe distance for about twenty to thirty minutes.
If solution number 1 and solution number 2 don't work, try solution number 3.
Drying for a long time:
Take off the covers as well as battery from the mobile phone. Put the phone in a dry as well as warm place to let the water inside the phone evaporate gradually from the little holes in the mobile phone.
Since you have dried up the water in television, you can power the television on and quickly put it off.
if you observe nothing that is a sound when you power it on.
you can now put it on for use... Good luck.....
I got my i870 from my sister a week ago, i got it for boost mobile but the ear speaker doesnt work either, i took it apart and i ordered the flip part of the phone which comes with the whole top section. It should work after i put the new part. it was only $26 off of ebay. the parts were only held up five screws. really easy but you have to be careful and gentle.
Advise. If this is your 3rd RAZR V3, you must encourage Cingular (Now is the new AT&T) to replace your whole unit with another model. A friend of mine exchange his phone 4 times, until Cingular replace it. Motorola had too many problems with RAZR phones and that's why they launch quickly the SLVR L7.
They still producing the RAZR, because users love the style and shape of the phone, but reality is that Motorola had several heavy issues with RAZR (Bluetooth, batt, microphone, etc.)
If you're paying for an insurance on your unit, encourage them to replace it.
