    Hi Kevin
The only drivers on the disk, or on Citizen's site, are for Windows

  • johnsonb85 Sep 20, 2008

    Hi findmeifucan

As Microsoft seem to be catering more and more for the personal/domestic computer market we as a company have decided, as have many others, Linux is a better OS so taking a drastic step like going back to windows is not an option for us, thanks anyway

  • johnsonb85 Sep 20, 2008

Sorry, should have said I have already tried all the obvious option's what i need is someone who can tell me how to get it to work there must be a driver out there that will work the printer its just finding it I have been told by Citizen that the printer uses datamax 400 emulation! also that some zebra printers have the same mechanism as some Citizen printers but it would take forever to go through them all to find one that may work.

    Hi Lee
yes thats my next option but I wanted to explore the driver route first as we have got something like £2000 worth of labels on rolls that are to big for any other printer I have researched so far

It may have been mentioned but you will not find drivers for this. What your smart option would be is to research a printer first that works with linux and then purchase it. That way you have a compatible printer. Sell the printer on craigslist/ebay and upgrade to a printer that will suit your needs.
Thanks,
Lee

There is no way for you to use the rest of the labels on a windows machine just until you run out? If you have a moment as you should have found my information at least helpful and could accept and rate the solution accordingly and also I am here to assist further if need be.
    Thanks,
    Lee

i just check from my sources the dirver is not the driver disk nor available any where as Citizen does not specifically produce drivers for the Linux operating system.

So the only option is to use the printer on win OS computer.

Samsung clp-365w crashes computer when trying to print

Hello,

Uninstall the printer and reinstall it using the new driver. After removing the old driver and installing the new one, scan your computer with RadarSync so that you will know which drivers need some updating.

My printer is not working

Assuming the printer is plugged into the wall outlet and also into your pc's usb port or printer port, this is usually a driver issue.

If you are using windows it's just a matter of either inserting the driver disc that was packaged with your printer, or if you have none, getting one online.

The best bet is to download the driver directly from the source, ie, getting a hp printer driver from www.hp.com, or a lexmark printer driver from www.lexmark.com.

If for some reason your driver isnt available from the manufacturer's website, you can usually get it from driverguide.com

driverguide.com is a frustrating site, tons of ads, you have to sign up for a free account, and they hide the download links at the bottom of the page in small font so you have to find your way through the ocean of ads, but they have a very large driver database.

If you have a linux os like ubuntu, you may be out of luck. as i am writing this I am also using linux. the battle beetween the Microsoft community and the Linux one has left some hardware without a driver in linux operating systems.

for a list of all currently known linux printers and linux drivers, go here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1129389

Select the specific printer model, then select your operating system (Linux is usually at the top). Then under the Driver heading, you should be able to click the Download button to the right of the driver you want to install.

Hope this helps!

I have presario v3070tu wan't audio and wifi driver for suse linux...from where to download?

Hello there
I understand that you need Linux drivers for your Notebook Compaq Presario v3070tu.

I am sorry to that HP do not have Linux drivers for your product.

For more information please click here.

This is what HP gave in that link
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't see your operating system?
If your operating system is not listed, HP does not currently have software or driver downloads available for your product for that operating system, or they are not available in the language you have chosen. To look for a driver in another language, change the software/driver language by clicking the "Change your software/driver language:" link on this page to see what drivers are available for your operating system.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you

Good bye and Take care

My new lexmark 5000 printer\fax\scanner cant load i have windows mill on and it says it wount support it .could u help me

You can try visiting the Lexmark website to find drivers for Windoze ME to support your new All-in-One, but I have serious doubts you will find any help. And Windows ME couldn't support a lot of things it claimed it could at the time. You could install something, like a printer, and it would work only until the system was rebooted. My wife fought with that with her old Compaq that had ME on it. The smartest thing you could do is to upgrade to XP, or replace the computer altogether with one having XP. If you are somewhat computer saavy, you might try out a Linux distribution. Linux is available for free, and there is a lot of free support available in each distribution's forums. There are Linux Live CD's available to download and burn. Running one of those, you can find out if your new All-in-One is supported without installing anything on your hard drive.

CD isn't working for me to connect printer.

Try going to the printer manufacturer's website, and downloading the specific drivers for your model and installing that way. Be sure to get the drivers designed for your OS. (Vista, XP, 2000, Mac OSX, Linux)
