Continuous mechanical noise from inside the printer

Hi,

Lately I can't use my PSC 2410 All-In-One InkJet Printer since when I'm trying to turn it on, there is a continuous mechanical noise from inside the printer and the sandglass in the printer display is continuously showed with no any option to cancel it or to start use the printer. I'm trying to press many buttons but nothing responds. The only way to stop this continuous noise is to plug it off from the elecricity outlet.
Do you have any (by myself) solution for me besides sending it to repair?

Thanks in advance, Lior.

Well, guys, just to update you... I sent my printer to be checked by a technitian who said that the problem is the scanner... It is out of order and should be replaced, then entire machine can work properly, but... he also said that the cost of a new scanner (+ repair fee) is too expensive so it doesn't worth it... Almost by this money I can buy a new machine.

So... I don't see anything I can do with it besdies throwing it to the garbage and buy a new one...

I hope the technitian is reliable... I don't know him...

Will be happy to hear from you who had the same problem and your technitian's findings.

    Thanks & good luck, Lior.

(To clear memory, turn off the printer, disconnect the printer USB cable from the computer, then turn the printer on for a few seconds about 30. Then turn printer off, reconnect USB cable and turn printer back on. This usually resets any error messages you're getting and clears out the printer queue too. ) It might be too late now but this always works on mine. I had this happen several times due to power outages or surges when the printer is on. Just now fixed it again doing that.

Advice me how to replace cartridge on 2410 printer Thanks

Turn the printer on.
Lift the cover over the print-head mechanism.
Look for instructions on the inside of the lid.
After a few seconds, the print-head will slide to a position from where the ink-cartridges can be slightly pushed DOWN, to "unlock" them from their socket, and can gently be lifted out.

Loud clicking noise when turn on printer

I would check wherever possible for foreign objects in the printer. Failing that, a partial reset is available for your PSC 2410:

A partial reset can be done by:

1) Unplugging the power cord (you are already there!)
2) Press and hold the (#) key and (3) key while plugging the unit back in

Why is my hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one make a clicking noise, when I turn it on? It seems to be stuck in a "cycle". Like the printing carriage (if that's what you call it) is hooked-up.

See if you can press the power button to turn it off, leave it for 5 minutes then turn it on again, if the clicking persists again try 1 more time, turn off, leave for 5 mins then turn back on this time there should be no clicking noise and you should be able to send a print job to the queue and it should print.
If this doesnt work then goto the hp software and purge.
