Well you can get a toothpick and move the laser from left to right repeditly.

Is this happening with every UMD? If so the laser has gone bad. Google tutorials on how to replace it or have it replaced.

umd games or iso games if umd is problem your disc reader is broken and it costs sixty bucks to fix it if iso then reinstall custom firmware

PSP Slim making click sounds when UMD is in


it could be a problem with the inside mechanisms of the UMD dock. Better make sure that the insides are clean and free of dirt or small particles.

Psp making funny buzz noise and not reading umd disks.


Try a different UMD, it might be scratched. If not, take a soft cloth, and clean the lens. Look on google to see where the lens are located.

your laser is either broken or unaligned. you have 2 options:

1. send it back to sony

2. or try and clean the laser track, remember the gear under the track also needs cleaning.

you will have to open it to see what is out of place or broken.
you can star to open the umd drive and look for something out of place.
