Locked lite is on machine wont work - Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer

If in addation to the light being on and the door is actually locked the most likely problem will be because not all the water drained out of the washer.... the door lock is tied into the water level sensors in the washer and until the water level sensor determines that water has drained it will not unlock the door. The usual reason the water hasnt drained is because the filter screen on the drain pump is built up with debris and the water can not drain,This tip i wrote will tell ya how to take apart the washer to access the pumpo and clean the fliter screen.
