Hello Anthony:
If you fuel pump is not engaging, it nay be the security system that is preventing it from pumping. If your security light is flashing, then that is the problem and you will need to reset your security system. If the security light goes out, then it is a BCM or fuel pump problem.
Our company has pages and a description of how toreprogram the ignition switch on GM vehicles (for a small fee). They are broken down into step by stepdetailed instructions. Here is a link to that page. This covers many of the switches from 1997-2006to present. http://www.steeringcolumnservices.com/steering-column-repair-how-to-instructions/gm-buick-cadillac-chevrolet-oldsmobile-pontiac/Passlock-relearn.php Good luckDoughttp://www.steeringcolumnservices.com

Have you reset the fuel pump switch...bled the lines? Try starting fluid for a few times then look at these issues.

My 2004 alero starts with starter fluid then dies. do i need to replace the fuel pump? and where is the fuel pump located?

If you have no fuel pressure and the fuses are good chances are the fuel pump has failed. It is located in the fuel tank. You have to remove the fuel tank to replace it. Replace the fuel filter to.

I have a 2004 Olds Alero. It is turning over but not starting right away. Once it does, it acts like it's going to die by sputtering and the car shudders. Once it sits for a few minutes, it runs like...

replace fuel filter if it hasn't been. then check fuel pressure when started or when condition is current. could have a faulty fuel pump. (in tank)

I have a 2004 oldsmobile alero doesn't blow that

a/c that is not providing cold air is caused by a leak of freon/refrigerant. have an a/c technician check your cooling system if it has leaks. after checking, have it charged with freon.

CAR WON'T START NOT GETTING ANY GAS

My girlfriend has a 2004 Alero and she just had the same problem less than a year ago. It turned out to be the fuel pump. This can only be replaced by a shop since you have to remove the gas tank to get to it.

If the engine cranks easily and doesn't even sound like its trying then you probably have the same problem. Sorry, but its not going to be a cheap fix. You can replace it yourself, but unless you really want to deal with dropping the gas tank, I recommend you take it in.
