Post a "want it now" on ebay for brochures on your particular system. There's a guy there who has/makes reprints of many original instuctions for all kinds of stereo gear. Or you can just search thru electronics by punching in what it is you need.

My sony SA-wx700 sub woofer does not have a sound

Check out this link to a thread. I bought a Sony SAWX-700. The light came on when plugged in. The guy said he didn't have a way to test it, but assured be the light was on and that it worked. I got home and it didn't. Did a search and found these posts. I followed them, ordred the parts and fixed it for like $10.00.Hope this helps! I also did a Youtube search on how to solder and desolder and wasn't that hard. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=944798

Hi I got Logitech S-220 2.1-CH PC multimedia speaker sys, it is new but when I connect to my laptop, the sub woofer and one side speaker is not working. I think I didn't assemble properly, Please help...

That would follow. How can we tell you if that is so? Did you follow the directions?

Try swapping things around to isolate the probable flaky connection(s) or bad speaker(s). Test ONLY AT LOW VOLUME until you resolve it.

I need a fuses for my durabrand home theater system and model is ht-3916. i went to radio shack and purchase a fuse 1.6 amp volt fuses and it still don't work can you please help me thank you

Do you mean it blew them again or that it didn't work and the fuse is still intact?
If it blew it again the problem is not the fuses. Instead what you have is a semi-conductor device that has developed a short and that is blowing the fuse. Check any devices in the power supply section, look for signs of damage or heat and also any devices on the heat-sink.

If the fuse did not go and it still doesn't work check the power supply only or the on-off switch.

I have bought a Sony BDP-S380 Blu-Ray Disc Player. I have read the scanty instructions for hooking it up to my home entertainment system but still am unclear how to do it, which connection jacks to use...

Without knowing what your Home Entertainment System or TV capabilities are...

Page 10 of the not-so-scanty instructions lists the various video hook-ups to your TV in descending order or quality...

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=BDPS380&LOC=3

Here's how I would do it.

HDMI from the BD to the TV.
Digital audio (standard RCA cable) from the BD to the 'system'.

The best video goes to the TV without hops and extra expensive cable. The best audio goes to the sound system on the cheapest cable which can also be spliced for added length.

I never run either audio or video anywhere it isn't needed or enhanced.

Unable to get durabrand model ht-3917 to work with tv

This system does not need a dvd to work but you can attach one. go to page 26 of your tv owners manual. on the far right side of the picture you will see a red and white jack call rca. use a rca patch cord and connect to these jacks on the tv and to the same jacks on your home theater system where it says aux on the back. to hear the tv through the surround, set the system to aux. the only bad thing about vizio is when it goes bad, you have to ship it back to the manufactorer because it is made only for walmart and there are not factory authorized service centers except the factory. Steve, good luck

NEED EXTENSON CABLES FOR 2 SPEAKERS

Hi,

Normally, speaker wires of any length are available from most electronic stores and/or audio/video stores. Even those shops that do car audio installations would have them in their inventory. The only requirement/specification you would need is the power output of your home theater and the required length. The longer the distance, the better the bigger the wires. Speaker wires always come in pairs and have color coding to designate +/-.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Sound problem

What you need to do is install new sound drivers1.gif, now depending on how your system is set up there are a couple possible solutions. Now I will walk you through a couple steps but before I begin I want you to remember something for me and I will explaine in further detail later. BEFORE INSTALLING NEW AUDIO DRIVERS YOU MUST FIRST UN-INSTALL ANY DRIVERS THAT ARE CURRENTLY INSTALLED. That is very important as if this step is skipped the problem will still exist.
1st solution go into your control panal, find the icon for your sound options, double click on that icon. Go into the properties and uninstall all audio drivers. Then make sure your P.C. is connected to the internet and restart your computer. When the P.C. restarts it will look for driver for your audio device, it will also look online to try to find drivers. This should fix your problem, just follow the instructions and install your new driver. However for the sake of giving you a wider set of tools I will list a couple other options.
2nd solution check Windows update, let them scan your system and see if they have an updated audio driver. If they do then un-install any current audio drivers and run the update.
3rd solution if you have an onboard sound card1.gif (it is sodderd to the motherboard and canot be removed) You may have to go to the website of the manafactuer of your motherboard and enter the model number of your motherboard, they should have instructions for updating the audio drivers for your sound card. You may have to find the support section of their website .
4th solution If you have a PCI video card1.gif (it slides into a PCI slot on your motherboard and can be removed from the computer) You will have to find the manufacture of the sound card, sometimes the easiest way to get this info is to open the side of your computer (remember to power off and unplug your computer before removing the side) and looking at the card its self as most manfacutuers will have their name on the card, take note you may also need a model number off of the card for some of the manufactuers. Find the website for your videocard and try to find drivers for your particular card, keep in mind again these companies make many diffrent models so there may be diffrent drivers for diffrent sound cards1.gif and even drivers based on the operating system you are using. Once you find the driver you need make sure you have un-installed any drivers that were on your computer and download and install your new drivers.
Hope this helps
