Samsung black jack- buttons will not work (water damage)

My phone was dropped in a puddle of water; after drying it out it the phone still works! Well, some what it does. My SIM card is still working because my phone will ring. The only button that will work on the phone is the side scroll button. The lights and the display screen still work. It will charge but if it is not pugged into the wall, Attention! Your battery is low will pop up on the main screen and will not go away unless I remove the battery. I need to know if this is fixable or should I buy a new phone? The buttons on the phone will not work at all. What should I do?

I recomend that you buy the same phone and dont tell the company!!! or they somtimes may charge you extra.

Samsung mobile sgh e840 fell into water

remove all possible [parts, battery, back cover, sim card, memory card and other things you can open using a special screw driver, let it dry several days or use a hair dryer on cool settings until determined everything is dry.

As for the battery, let is dry under the hot sun before attempting to put it back in the phone.

after that make a simple power on test, if it works, you are in luck, otherwise consider your phone completely water damaged and will not be accepted for repair due to the red water damage mark indicator.

Samsung Galaxy S Stratosphere SCH-I405 Screen Issue

the flexes probably had been damaged by now, stratosphere is not that tough when it comes to water, unlike galaxy s3, you need a technician now for your phone to work, or better yet, look for the nearest samsung service center and bring your phone there.

I dropped my Blackberry in a puddle of water and its not working. What can I do?

Remove the battery, turn the unit on it's back and allow any water to work its way out. Let the unit sit for a day or so. If you can't wait that long, take a blow dryer to it and blow out any water. When the unit appears to be completly dry, insert the battery and see if it boots up. If it doesn't, it may not be completely dry yet.

The 7290 is a pretty versatile unit. I dropped mine in a lake twice on the same camping trip. Both times I immediately removed the battery, laid it out on a rock and let the sun dry it. It booted up fine both times.

Cheers!

If there is no physical damage, warranty would be best. For AT&T Warranty the direct line is 800.801.1101.

I dropped my samsung E840 phone in the bath 2days ago and the screen went black but the phone still lit up...the screen is now back to normal but goes black every now and again and the numbered buttons are...

Recent phones dont agree with water to much, but what you can do is pull it apart and spray it all with a electric cleaner, but if you have insurance on your phone that would be the best way to replace it, warranty wont cover it. you could try to hard reset it but most likely wont work still

Water damage -multiple letters being typed - light remains active

try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

Dropped Blackberry 8100 in water now wont turn on...

Get some ipa [isopropanol] leave phone submerged in same for a few hours [with battery removed] then remove from ipa, leave for 24 - 48 hrs as long as you can and it should come back to life. All the components in your phone are waterproof so the ipa will eliminate the moisture and should make you happy again.
