We can't scan a picture to attached to an email, scanner not scanning

There may be some problem during installation.

Let me know, since when this problem arises.

Please try to reinstall the All-in-one printer/Scanner.

You can use the IP Scanner software to scan the documents from your Bizhub to your pc. Once the documents are in your PC you can take apart which pages you want from the scanned documents and save them to another file and e-mail them through your computer that way.

SOURCE: Sending multiple pages in one email attachment after scanning

well go to scanning setting and change it, you change the setting to be sent one by one, if its connected to network, browse the ip address and go to scan and change the setting, if to usb cable go to the driver setting and change it, and i think from the machine setting itself can let you, so its just setting.

you will need the copier hooked to a network and able to get out to the internet. You will need a email account like comcast.mail.net and password if your mail server has authetication. On the ricoh go to USER TOOLS buttom choose SYSTEM SETTINGS - FILE TRANSFER-SMTP and enter the setting there good luck

There could be a number of things causing this, including port blocking at your server level - check with your IT professional.

It would help to know how you're trying to scan (i.e. scan to e-mail, scan to FTP, scan to desktop), if the C351 has an EFI (Fiery) print server incorporated and how it's set up for scan interfacing with the copier. There's so many variables, it would be very difficult to pinpoint any one solution without knowing just how the copier and your network are set up.

Scan item, save on computer some place like pictures or down load, give it a name, wright E-Mail click add attachment, a box should pop up with the places to look if you saved it in pictures click pictures go to the name you selected then click select and it should be automatically attached to E-Mail.

How to get scanner to attach to e mail


Operate the scanner from the computer not the printer.
Have you loaded the MP Navigator progam from the cd supplied with the printer?
If not, do that first and then follow the steps below.
Double click MP Navigator icon on desktop.
Choose "custom scan with one click "
Save to pc. (" attach to email "only works on windows mail)
Open saved location and rename.
Write your email & click on insert drop down box
Click on "pictures inline "
Open pictures.
Open MP Navigator folder
Choose scanned item by name
Click on open box
Scan will appear under the text in your email.

Scan to email


  1. Place the document that is going to be scanned face down on the scanner. Press the "Scan" button that can be located on the scanner. Another way to perform a scan is to click on "Start," then go to "All Programs." Move the mouse pointer up to "Accessories." Go down to "Scanner and Camera Wizard."

  2. Click on "Scanner and Camera Wizard." Click "Next." You will be asked to choose a preference. Choose a preference, then click on "Preview" to preview the document.

  3. Click on "Next" after previewing. Type a picture name and the destination where you want to save it. Click on "Next." The document will start to scan. Click "Finish" to complete the scan.

  4. Go to your email account. Click "Compose" to start a new email. Look for "Attach File" and click on the "Browse" button across from it. The "Choose File" window will open up.

  5. Go to the destination where you saved the scanned document. Choose the name of the scanned document. Click on it to open up the file, then click on "Open."

  6. Add the necessary information in the subject line and the body of the email. Click on "Send" to complete the process. The document will be sent as an attachment file.

I just don't know how to scan a document so that I can email it.


Hi,

Let me assume you have install the Printer software and you are able to HP Solution Center icon on the desktop

Click on the link below to lanuch HP webpage to guide you.

When you get to the level where it says SCAN to, you can choose EMAIL or Outlook from it.

OR

Place document on the scanner bed and press the SCAN button and SCAN TO button.
Choose Scan to Email and Press Scan button.

The Document/picture you are scanning will be scanned and Outlook compose mail box opens with the document/picture as Attachment.

depending on your scanner lay the document to be scanned face down scan the document at the end it will ask you what format to be saved in select color i found if you select grey scale it comes out blury then save it in my documents/my pictures create an email click insert file attachment select browse to this document then attach it done

just scan it using the command from the computer ..after that you will find the job into the manager folder..of the scanner..from there you can send it directly ..or edit a little ..and copy into computer and attach to the email..or ..use the feature from the scanner's program to send it ..
make sure you set to scan picture cause scanners have a wizard that you can set to scan image (picture Jpeg ....) or PDF ..document ..

Can not scan a picture to my email


If you are using a Windows PC, open the Paint Program:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint

Then Choose 'File' in the top toolbar and click on, 'From Scanner or Camera'.

Then scan your document - name it - and save it in your pictures folder.

Open your email account and click on: Attach - then Browse your Pictures folder and select the document you want to attach to your email.

Can't figure out how to scan a picture and than send it via email.


Depends on your make of printer/scanner but generally you put the picture to be scanned in the slot open up your scanner software, press preview if ok press save to file.

Then open up your email box ,select 'add attachment', find your picture location on C drive and attach to your email and send. Simple. This should Fixya.

After you scan your pictures, save your pictures to your computer. after that you can open your email add. Click compose message to your email add and then click attached files then browse the pictures and upload it. After that you may send your email add to your own email add and also to another email add.
