HLP5067W Going on and off

My DLP turns on for a few mintus then loses the picture. Ocassionally the picture will come back on for a few minutes. I have changed the bulb and the ballast with no luck. I also made sure that both fans were working. I don't think it is the color wheel b/c the picture is perfect. Anyone have any other suggestions??

BY THE SOUNDS OF IT THE LAMP IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, I HAVE HAD A FEW IN MY W/SHOP WITH THAT PROBLEM, WHERE I REPLACED THE LAMP AND BALLAST TO BE SURE, YOU MAY NEED TO CONTACT SAMSUNG TO OBTAIN THE INFOMATION TO RESET THE LAMP USE TIME. EG; IF YOUR LAMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BEFORE THE TV WILL DETECT A NEW LAMP HAS BEEN FITTED, YOU NEED TO RESET THE LAMP USE TIME, OR THE TV WILL DETECT THE LAMP, BUT IT WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE THE LAMP USE TIME HAS EXPIRED.

Sounds like the bulb needs to be replaced. With the tv you have the Bulb last about 6000-8000 hours. If you think that is about right then you it most likely is time ro replace. You should be able to find the replacement bulb from the manufacture and then find it online to purchase.

I pulled out the Lamp, cleared the dust inside with one of those air blowers and returned the Lamp. That seems to have fixed the picture problems I was having.

I dont think you can. The time on there does not matter, if the bulb is going it, it is going out. It does not go out when it reaches the bulb life that i know of. If it does i have never heard of it.
