If memory serves me correctly, the strobe is nothing other than a neon lamp. These should be available at any electronics parts store.

I have a technic turntable. SL B2 My needle is worn. I am trying to find the right needle/stylus for it. Do you know where I can purchase one.

You need to look at the cartridge it fits into. It will have a make and model number on it. Put that into Google search and it should come up with suppliers of both.

My turntable won't stop spinning

It can be only one of two issues. Either the micro switch that should shut it off is defective, or the linkage that operates it is out of position. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

I have a technics sl-b2 that hasn't been used in a while. It was my fathers, looks in good shape. I put a new belt on. I'm having trouble with the pitch adj. It seems to not be able to maintain the same...

Switches and other controls that permit the user to adjust the speed on the turntable often become erratic due to oxidation of the metal contacts contained therein. Dust and smoke add to the problem. Cleaning the controls with quality electronics-type contact cleaners usually gives years of happy service. The job is best left to someone familiar with the complete assembly since other finite adjustment potentiometers are often employed and located on the internal circuit board.

Belt?

Wow, I didn't think anyone still had one. Now that I think about it, I may still have one somewhere myself. :)

The belt you need is a FM 24.5

You can order one for $10.00 at http://www.turntablebasics.com/belts/technics.html

Had to replace stylus on SL-B2. Arm was "skating" across disc but seem to have that fixed. Sound definitely not correct. What can I adjust?

Hi sounds like the cartridge or stylus are not seated correctly or at correct angle (cartridge).
Also weight/balance and anti skate need adjustment. Try getting the manual and using that to set it up correctly - no easy task though as lotsa info there.... :) Manual for 1200 MK3 will do as well. Hope that helps

Adjustments on Technics SL-B2 Automatic Turntable

the pitch is just the speed, adjust to your liking.

"How do I adjust tracking pressure and anti skate?
If you are lucky enough to have these two adjustments here's how: Move tracking force counter weight till needle suspends/hovers above record. then rotate numbers to zero. (this is zero grams pressure on record) then rotate weight AND numbers to recommended tracking pressure for your needle usually 1.5 to 3 grams is average. Then rotate anti skate to be equal. That should get you there. If you still have adjustment related distortion then it may be time for a new needle.
NOTE: Anti skate is adjusting side to side pressure WITHIN GROOVE of record. Tracking pressure is how hard the needle is pushing down inside the groove." from

lots of crackles are caused by crummy records and needles. to some small degree are unavoidable no matter what, but above all the records must be clean.

someday the manual may show up for free here

Technics SL-B2 Frequency Generator Servo Automatic Turntable will not play

hello

You need a belt.. Lift up the record support..(platter) Underneath you will see a metal post.. Belt goes around that and the bottom of the plate.(there is a rim) . If the belt is there, motor might be bad..
