My Bad the mother board is a 945P-A I am using the P4M900T-M2 in the computer I am operating at this time. this is a new mother board I am installing it is not the monitor cable because I am using it and the monitor now. everything seems to be operational except the the video. I have tried two different video
cards in the add on slots neither sends out a signal. I tried a MSI RX 1550 in the PCIEX1 express slot and a 32 bit PCI1 card in the one of the ( 3 ) PCI1 slots.

I have the same problem but on a PT880PRO-A, no post, no video, fans working, no beep sounds wven with out ram, tested evrything else with another pc and works, all testted but not the motherboard, bios batery changed, tryed diferent video cards that do work, the last thing is a dead bios, so i'am thinking about a hot flash to the bios chip, as a last resource, before i buy a new motherboard

I'm thinking it might be the video or graphics card on my desk top ive tried several different monitors and nothing no error message no windows logo all the ports and cables are fine nothings broken

if it has a separate monitor connection on the mother board at the back, pull the graphic card and connect to the monitor to that connection
If it is a graphic card , the mother board card will run the monitor so replace the graphic card
if you do not have a plug in graphic card and that is how you have it set up take it in for a proper diagnosis as it may be the mother board is failing

Can we use a internal graphic card in a mother board in another m

Yes if it has the port for the graphics card it will work with the onboard graphics card just make sure then that your video output is plugged into the ATI radeon and not the onboard..or it will not work correctly. if you have anymore questions just let me know and i will answer them asap.

Desktop upgrade

Asus is a Solid MotherBoard manufacturer of mother boards. If you are looking for an add-on graphics card (I'm assuming you want to do some gaming), You would want to upgrade the memory for that motherboard to at least 1GIG which can be found here.

Graphics cards wise, I wouldn't advise anything higher then a $100 card... As that motherboard only supports 4x AGP (The type of connection your video card would use) and to get more for what you pay for, you really need a motherboard with an 8x AGP slot to get 100% of what you pay for. A Radeon 9950 at around $92 is the most you would want to put into a system that currently has a p4 2.66 ghz.

Graphic Card

jumper settings for old graphic needs to be disabled or in the bios settings the on board vga settings need to be disabled this will allow the other new card to be ran as the dominent only video card

jumper settings are tricky
but bios settings are easy just find vga and disable on board video thats it save and boot

Graphics card problem

Hi rovin,
So you bought an XFX GeForce 256MB video card. You're board has 1 free AGP 8x video slot & 3 PCI (White opened slots).
You mention there is not slot for the new card. (What type of video card did you buy)? PCI-E, AGP or PCI?
The only slot you're board does not have is a PCI-Express.
Look in you're manual on page 1-7 for the location of the AGP video card slot.
94565e6.jpg If you bought the wrong card, exchange it for an AGP 8x or PCI.
The ASUS P5PE-VM uses a integrated Intel® 865G chipset with integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 Technology, which uses you're system memory to function.
If you need a manual you can download it from Asus. Click on the link to open to the P5PE-VM download site.

I hope you find this helpful.

Hi Colour on my Acer monitor has gone ? Initially everything went green' I've reset monitor settings and some improvement resulted - now the reds are palest yellow Any suggestions tom

most of such cases are not due to problem in monitors... they are problems caused by mother board's or the externally attached graphics/video cards... So in order to make sure which causes problem.. you can try to connect another monitor to your system.. or perhaps your monitor to another system...

If the monitor is faulty colored everywhere.. then the monitor has to be given for repair.. (you cant do it by yourself)
if the other way... any monitor connected to your sys is faultly solored.. then you have to change your video card attached to mother board...

hope this helps your situation..
