Our turntable is not producing any sound even though we have changed the speakers

Be sure the audio-out leads are connected properly to the receiver. They usually will work ok connected to the aux. plugs. Be sure the selector on the front of receiver is set to aux as well. Check the cartridge output wires to insure they are connected to the cartridge ok. If you have the receiver powered up and have the proper settings on the front of the receiver, you should get a little static sound when plugging the audio output leads into their respective input jacks on the receiver.

When on FM tuner, stereo stops playing after a few minutes

Right then sounds like the connection from the aerial lead into the receiver - check out the socket where the aerial plugs into!

Is it loose at all or could there be a bad connection inside the unit.
Get the cover OFF and investigate yourself before you rush down to that very friendly repair man along the street.

I have a Philips MC235B micro stereo system, but I'm too dumb to figure out the FM antenna connector type. Any help would be great, thank you!

Hi,
If it is a plug, it is probably the PAL connector so you would need a PAL female on your coax lead.
There is a great reference at the FM Antenna Connector and Adapter Guide with pictures:

I turn on my DVD player and it will say "f61" and turn off.

Hi,
I you can try this option:
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Wait five minutes to let residual power dissapate from unit,
3. Use electronic contact cleaner with thin red spray tube and spray inside each input/ouput jack in back,
4. Clean each patch cord lead and also do same for speaker output connectors.
5. Do the same to AM/FM antenna outputs. The contact cleaner has high flash and evaporates quickly. (also try to use compressed air in can with same red tube).
Cheers!!

it sounds like the button cell battery inside the receiver has gone bad if you take the cover off you will see it its about the size of a quarter. You can purchase a new one for around $4. Let me know if this works or if you need assistance in taking the cover off the receiver

Can't Get A Radio Signal When I Connect A Cox Cable

Hi...
Some cable companies dont put the FM band on cable and some others put an FM trap (which kills the FM band) in line with the cable.
One of those is your problem.
You'll need to buy a FM antenna
