Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My laptop acer aspire 3660 is failing to reboot so much so that i fail toget start menu on screen

HI

you could try pressing powere on key and F8 key on startup and hopefully it will take you into the repair options and try to use the last good known configuration

or the repair my computer
if this does not help or fix the laptop and you dont mind loosing all the data thay you have
personaly put onto it then you could try to press the power up key then straightaway press the
ALT+f10 KEYS both at the same time and this should take you into the factory restore options
then follow the onscreen instructions and it should take you back when the laptop was ist purchased and switched on

if this does not work then the hard drive may be corrupt or damaged
which normally means that it has to go back to acer for repair
or maybe a new hard drive cheap enough from ebay
and try to get hold of some factory restore disks from acer if you do not possess them
then fit the new hard drive normally located at the base of the laptop unless its a acer aspire one
and use the factory restore disks to reload the operating system

good luck

Ibm restore to factory setting

You have not explained what is wrong with your computer.
Is the laptop working, does it boot up into Windows?
What are you trying to restore?
Are you trying to get into a previous Restore Point?
The Access button takes you into the BIOS, you can change the BIOS settings back to the Default settings (ie the factory default settings).
It is difficult to offer a solution without knowing the exact nature of the problem.

A full "factory restore" involves booting to the restore CDs (or hard drive sys restore partion, used by some manufactors) and following the manufactors instructions.
A Factory restore will result in all DATA being wiped, it really does mean "like the day it left the factory".
