I have a Plantronix Explorer 220 Bluetooth headset. It was working fine for three weeks. Suddenly it is not charging contiuously. When I have plugged it to charge the Red light glows for 10 sec and goes off. It would not switch ON too. There is NO Blue light glowing. Please help.

I have the exact same problem? The red light stays on for about 10 secs and then shuts off...there is no response and my phone can not find the device.

I have the same problem...when you plug it into the charger the red light appears for about 10 secs and then shuts off. The device will not come on and my phone is unable to find the device. Is the problem related to the charging unit? Thanks!

I have the exact problem where I plug it into it's charger & the red light goes on then turns completely off about 30 secs later. I tried charging it in other outlets & the same thing happens. The light on the charger itself that is connected to the outlet has a green light which tells me the charger is working fine. What gives?

The device doesn't seems to charge at all. But the charger is working perfectly fine. I had checked with a Motorola MotoRocker phone. The charger works fine.

I contacted Tech Support in Plantronix. They have admitted that this must be a faulty piece and asked me to send it to their service center in California. I have already sent it.

I have the same problem. It will come on for a few minutes then commence beeping in my ear - i presume that means low battery. I have returned the head piece and had it exchanged. However, the problem continues. I think the problem is in the charger but the store (Radio Shack) didn't want to give me an exchange charger, eventhough the head piece they exchanged came out of a new package and I had the old charger at the store.

Tell me, will any of your devices turn on and remain on? Or are they simply not getting any charge at all and not turning on at all?

The link below on page 7 has the sequence for turning on your headset (Explorer 230 and 220 work the same). If you're still having problems, then it needs to replaced.

My Plantronics 220 light is green indicating it has been charged. When I try to turn it on I get no light. It hasn't been used for months and I want to pair it with my iphone.

Turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone. When charging the Plantronics 220, hold down its on/off button until it starts to blink two different colors. Then turn the Bluetooth to on once again on your phone. Once it detects the device, press pair. The pin is '0000'. A little late but hope it helps.

Solid Purple Light on Plantronics 220

Explorer 230 went into solid blue light the second time I used it. Fixed mine by letting the headset go completely dead and re-charged and it appears to work fine now.
