Question about Heating & Cooling

Open Question

Hi I've got a 24i Worcester boiler which has stopped working for some reason. It was fine last night but this morning the red flashing warning light is on (flashes once per second) & it's not igniting. The gas supply is fine. I've let in water so that pressure guage now reads 2 but this doesn't seem to do the trick. I've also pressed the warning light in for 5 secs to see if it rights itself but no joy. Any ideas? Thank you

SOURCE: I would like to know

Most user manuals are online at Manufacture webe sites. That would be the most reliable place. Sometimes the manufacture to appliances will be more top level for example GE is the manufacture of Hotpoint ect.

SOURCE: Worcester 24i boiler..how do i

Overheat thermostat has tripped. If a modern Worcester need to press reset on control panel.

If older style Worcester - Pull front cover off the boiler (just above control panel flap pull the cover from both sides forward to unclip and then lift upwards to remove cover) and you will see a little brown reset button - press this back down.
However the over heat thermostat trips for a reason - was the system running on low pressure? It could be the pump is sticking a bit (dirt in the system) which can be sorted easily by adding an additive (DIY packs available at Home-base) . Or it could be the pump has completely gone. If this is the case it will trip again as soon as the boiler clicks back on.

Flashing red light on Worcester 24i junior combi boiler

Pressure is ok? at 1 bar or above
I think on this one there should be a reset button [red] on the left hand top of the casing - or lower the control panel [ phillips screw on each side] and the button is on the left of the base plate. Press this and try the heating.or hot tap
P.S. if you're on a prepayment meter check you have gas.

Flashing red light under ! on my worcester 24i junior combi boiler and pressure under 1

you don't have enough pressure in the tank you are using, needs to be a 2lb system to work properly it is starving the gas valve for gas
