If it is a WindowsXP Operating System then:

[If it is a WinVista Operating System Then in Go to Start> Control Panel> Programs and features delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)Rest all steps wil be same as winXP]
Try a complete uninstall:

Unplug the USB cable from your PC.
Go to Start> Control panel> Add or Remove programs. and delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Then open my computer> C:drive> Program files> and delete the HP Folder only (not Hewlett Packard)
Then Open C:drive> Program files> Common Files and then delete HP and Hewlett Packard folder.
Then Go to C:Drive> Windows> Temp and empty the temp folder as much as you can.
Then go to Recycle bin and empty recycle bin.
Then Insert the All-In-One CD and cancel the installation process.
Open the content of the CD> and open Util folder> Then CCC> Then click on Uninstall_L4 and follow the on screen process.

After all restart the computer.

ANd if possible download the software from HP website:

For WinXP:

And click on download only

For WinVista:

And click on download only

And try installing from the downloaded software:

Good Luck

Connect usb port

Check all computer connections and cords. Is the powerstrip for surge protector light indicator bar (usually inside the off/on switch itself) on?
All it takes is a pet to walk over it or a foot to bump a cord and break the power connection. Mine do it all the time. Check the power on/off button on the printer to see if it accidently got powered down.

I bought an HP Deskjet F4400 printer for college and it keeps saying the printer is offline. I have a Macbook Pro, so there's no "Control Panel." I looked under "system preferences" but was unable to right...

its likely the printer port that the printer is assiged to. I assume its plugged in via usb. power on the printer, then connect the usb cable. go into the printer properties, look for printer port. do not use LPT1 LPT2 or Com anything. make sure printer port is set to the USB port. Its a mac so it may be tricky to find. Quite often these printers set to LPT1 by default which is incorrect on a USB printer. good luck.

Hp c6150 keeps turning on and off

is any light blinking. if the printer is connected to any surge protector .. then have it plugged directly to the power socket .. but if it is connected directly to the power socket ..
let me know after how much of time the power goes Off..
for, sometimes, the printer may have power saving default option.

Error message Oxc18a0301 on my hp photosmart c6150 printer

Hi,

The "Oxc18" series errors can be removed by resetting the printer. Unplug the USB cable from the printer, remove the ink cartridges. When the "Insert ink cartridges" message appears unplug the power cord from the printer. Wait 1 minute (at least), then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer if it didn't come on by itself. Reinsert the ink, close the unit and print a calibration page if prompted to do so. Finally reconnect the USB cable to the printer. If this doesn't work, the unit needs service (or replacement if the service call will cost more than a new printer).

Thank you!!

HP C6150 Printer that turns off then back on repeatedly

Please DON'T keep posting messages that say "I had the same problem..." Those are useless!

If the software resets don't work, it's possible it's an electronics problem. Here is a repair note that worked for me:

It should not matter which USB port you use.Have you used the USB port you have the printer plugged into with anything else?
If you have a USB memory card try this on that usb port just to test the port is not faulty.
