Question about PC Laptops

IPC TopNote F 219 HDD compatibility

I have an IPC TopNote F219 and need to know which hdd is compatible.I was given the laptop without original hdd but a friend had connected a Hitachi Travelstar but apparently that was not showing up in the Bios.I need some info on this laptop because I tried googling and there is very little.

There is no hdd compatibility list / HDFormat files are encrypted > not viewable

Originally these HDD Dewcriptor Files were regular text files which could be edited to add new HDD formats when
necessary. More recently Canon has started encrypting the files to prevent them being edited.

Modifying the HDD Descriptor is out of the question on this series

Canon ImageRUNNER's will require that authentic Canon HDD's be installed should they require replacement. Generic drives may not be on
the list of supported drives for the SST and Canon will not release a list of supported drives.

What is the largest HDD compatible on a Sony Vaio VGN FS630/w laptop What max HDD size can I upgrade now? Currently my laptop has 80GB HDD.


That model laptop will take anything up to 500GB and yes you can upgrade now or whenever you want.

How big of ata hdd is compatible with this, old hdd wore out


As far as i know the maximum capacity drive is a 160GB drive.

The most common drives shipped with that model is usually 40GB.

If you update the BIOS it could take a larger drive.

Yes, it is compatible. If your laptop only supports SATA 1, then the drive will only run at the S-1 speed.
