Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Connection failure My two sons have an x-box console each and each of those has a wireless adaptor in the back. If one son logs onto x-box live and then the other one logs on then one of them will be logged off or the screen will freeze. They cannot seem to play x-box live at the same time. One thing I have noticed is that the NAT on one console says Open and the NAT on the other console says Strict. Could this be the problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My wireless computer will not work while son uses xbox live

It seems as if somehow you assigned the 360 to the same IP address as your wireless router. On any of the devices attempt to release the current IP and grab a new one.

I cant get a connection with the xbox and the standard controller

The usb ports are soldered onto the mainboard and would require quite a bit of technical knowlege to replace. You are stuck with wireless controllers and batteries. There are charging stations for xbox 360 controllers on ebay. Most 360's have a USB port on the back above the network port. You could charge with that one. Good Luck

Xbox live connection keeps crashing.

Hi,

problems usually happen, when the signal strength drops.
I,d suggest hard-wiring the 360 to the PC or router, for optimal performance.

Thankyou for using fixya.

Xbox 360 live on wireless router

In theory you should be able to "share" your internet connection. I use a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and I have a Linksys Game adapter on my son's 360. He has not complained about lag or slow server times unless other intensive bandwidth is being used.

Make sure you have the X-Box Adapter on the same channel as the wireless access point...If your WAP is not broadcasting the SSID then you will have to manually put it in...
