When I put my computer on it comes up with scanning no signal and the screen stays black with the little light in the corner is yellow but sometimes leaving the computer on by itself

The monitor is stating that there's no signal from any device. It could be that the monitor cable is unplugged from the back of the tower, or the graphics card could be bad. "Scanning" suggests you're using a smart TV rather than a monitor. In that case, you may need to change the setup type to VGA, DVI, HDMI or whatever type signal the computer sends.

How to add second monitor on ECS RS482-M

Doesn't work that way Max.

You can use EITHER the OnBoard Graphics,
OR;
the Add-On Card graphics. (Graphics card)

BIOS will NOT support both at the same time.

If you wish to use dual monitors, get an AGP card that has more than one graphics port on it.

For example, although I'm using a graphics card based on the PCI Express technology, and not AGP technology; my card has a VGA port, DVI port, and HDMI port.

1) VGA Connector; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_Connector

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Male_VGA_connector.jpg

2) DVI; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dvi-cable.jpg

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface#Connector

3) HDMI; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI

I use the VGA port, and the DVI port.

RCA EN-V L26HD31, (26 inch HDTV) to the VGA port.
HP 2009M 20 inch Widescreen monitor to the DVI port.

Had to install drivers for HP 2009M.

Let's say I had two DVI ports on the graphics card.
(ATI Radeon HD5450 is the graphics card I have)

But I have a monitor with a VGA cable, and a monitor with a DVI cable.
I would (And have) use a VGA to DVI Adapter.
One example,

http://www.directron.com/dvi.html

Note that the DVI is Male, and the VGA is Female.
The graphics card DVI connector is Female.
The VGA Cable connector is Male.

So.............what is the manufacturer name, and model number of the graphics card; plus what type of monitors are you trying to use?
That is, what type of monitor cables do they have?

Know this;
My HDTV I'm using as a monitor is Digital. However I'm using a VGA cable on it. Best quality would be achieved if I got off my lazy rear, and attached a DVI Cable to it. It uses both.

VGA is Analog. A computer however puts out a digital video signal.
The computer has to convert the digital video signal to an Analog one. This slows the video signal down, and the quality is not as good.

Best to use a digital monitor. (Or a digital monitor WITH a digital cable. DVI Cable. Such as I need to do)

You are also using a PCI Express graphics card, NOT an AGP graphics card.

I'm wrong? OK.

In the meantime turn the computer off, unplug from power, and yank that AGP card out of the slot you put it in.

Tell me what expansion slot on the motherboard you put it in.

The Orange expansion slot on the motherboard, is a PCI-Express x16 slot. Uses a PCI Express graphics card -> ONLY

The white expansions slots are PCI.
Can use a PCI graphics card. CANNOT use an AGP graphics card.

Post back in a Comment.

How do I fix the error no vga input signal no dvi input signal monitor going to sleep

Check if you VGA is properly settled in the PCI slot. Try to take it out, clean the slot for dust.
If that doesn't help, it is well possible that you VGA is not working any more.

VGA connection works, DVI does not

Everything seems perfectly normal...

When you connect the computer to the monitor via an analog VGA cable, you get signal on the analog input.
When you connect them via a DVI cable, you feed the monitor's DIGITAL input, so the monitor doesn't get any signal on it's analog input, and informs you about it.
You have to select the digital input from the monitor's On Screen Menu, and then start the computer up - you should see the picture OK.
Also remember to set the display resolution on your computer to match the optimum (native) resolution of your monitor - this will give you optimum picture quality. In case of VA712B it will be 1280x1024.
Good luck and please come back with a testimonial if helped.

Hp no signal input

Hello,
If you have changed the monitor and the same thing happens, then you are very likely to be having with you display/graphics adapter. Try changing it with a working one and see the results. This should fix your problem.

All the best.

PC to tv VGA cord hookup. Installed but it said it has no single, will be used as main monetor. Workes but I ca'nt use my keybord to try to get single to tv. a1600n has onley one VGA port and nothing else...

First idea to try: make sure the TV is on (saying no signal) before you turn on the computer. Several TV/monitor units will not respond if the computer is already on when the TV is turned on. Check that you have a good cable (they do fail) and well-seated connections. Then double check that your VGA port is sending a signal out; use another monitor to check. You may have to change your BIOS or graphics card settings. If no signal at the port, you should also check, if using a graphics card, that you have sufficient power to the card from your power supply and it is well-seated in the slot.

I hope this helps.

I turn on my pc all fine screen says no signal help please

Verify that the VGA cable is fully seated and connected. If you can test the computer on another monitor or test another computer on that monitor. Are you getting any video display on the monitor? Does it display the start-up screen then goes away when windows starts? If so start the computer and press F5. A menu will come up and select to start computer in VGA mode. This should bring up windows so you can change the screen resoloution to something the monitor can handle. If the computer does not display anything and the monitor is testing good then the on-board video or video card might be faulty. You could change the video card if it has one or add one to the system if it has on-board video. You could also try re-setting the BIOS jumper to clear the cmos or pull out the watch battery for 20 seconds. Another thing to try is to disconnect all hardware...cd-rom, hard drive, floppy drive, and memory dimms and see if it boots up with display. If that works the you will need to re-install each piece of hardware one at a time and re-boot until the problem happens again. Once it does that is your problem device. You could also try swapping out the power supply and see if that is the cause of the problem.

I have a HP s3020n slimline the pc is running but not sending any signal to the monitor

Well... try un-plugging the VGA cable... ie., the monitor cable behind the tower...... if u get a message on screen saying No VGA Input... can confirm there is no issues with the monitor...

if you are using graphic card in computer unplug that and connect the VGA cable to normal display card came along with the computer and try...

or if you have another monitor... u can try connecting that to the tower which is not sending the signal to monitor and try....

even then you get the same problem... get an new graphic card... (if you dont have other monitor try with new graphic card)
