There is a board mounted NiCad battery inside that needs to be replaced. Not too tough, but it is soldered in, and you must make sure you use a NiCad only.

A disk is stuck in my Harmon Kardon player. The door will open and close and I can see the disk but cant' get it out.

turn on the unit and then tried to press the play button while the cd tray is in place. if doesn't work, unplug the dvd player then open the cover to access the internal part. look for a broken limit switch for cd tray mechanical assembly or check weather the cd not in proper place in the tray that is why an error occur.

Hello! My harmon kardon hs100 constantly blinks an amber light and is inoperatable. I tried plugging it out in fact for months I did so and still not working power light still blinking amber.

This is due to a audio output problem in the amp, first check the speaker wires for shorts, if okay! the audio output semiconductors must be replaced to remedy the situation.

Disc error

Ok, disc error happens for 2 reasons....1. If this is self made dvd, it wasn't finalized, or, as was already said the lens is dirty. If you feel up to it, unplug it, and remove the top....if you can get to the lens, simply apply rubbing alcohol with a q tip. Hopefully, it fixes the problem.

Power on but nothing works

It may havenot been used for sometime. There could be a few answers to this, so i`m trying likeliest first.

I think or we have to eliminate the build up of condensation in the dvd.
Put the dvd and remote in a warm room plug in, and leave for 2-3 hrs, then fingers crossed try the dvd again.

Can't figure out what channel to put radio on to get sound for dvd in car

The only way to hear it through the car radio is if it has a built in fm modulator installed.

Usually the car manufacturers use the lowest (or close to it) number on the dial. 88.7...88.9 etc.

On some factory installed units - you must press SOURCE for the DVD sound.

If it is aftermarket - an FM transmitter is almos alwyays part of the unit - and you'll have to find the proper channel.

Stick in a music CD, and then scan the stations manually.

Some FM Modulators use only 4 selectable channels... and some can use any channel.

Panasonic DMR EH75V - no channel guide after power went out

since there was power failure , the settings( channel guide) that u had programmed has got earsed completly & u will have to reprogram (memorise)them
this has happened because there is a small capacitor(looks like a small battery) which keeps the memory has lost its charge & needs to be replaced.its job is to store the details in case of power failure!!!

My HK dvd101 player reports "disk error" with every disk

Hello Fixya Team,

I've focused in on the location of the problem. ATT, I'm trying to find a replacement input control board from Harmon. Not looking good tho. It acts like a cold solder joint or a flaky connector.

Thanks for getting back to me. If I end up stuck, I'll get back to you.

Harmon Kardon and Infinity Modulus

I got the answer for No-1.
The balance was turned on the Right Channel. That is why Left Channel was not working during the Channel test.
For Channel test the Balance should be in the middle so that both Right and Left Would be heard.

I am working on my Subwoofer Isuue.

I opened the Back Panel and Yet I could ot figure out any issues.

I will open the front panel and see if any connection is loose.
