Question about Creative Labs EMU 0202 Sound Card
Hello, I've got an Emu 6400 ultra that has a problem with its operating system.
I upgraded the Flash rom O.S with the upgrade from EMU from 4.6 to 4.7 and its caught in some kind of loop.I've read that the O.s was bugged after I did the install. I've tried just about every forum and my last ditch hope is to find someone with a ROM burner in town to clear the ROM and re-install the O.S. Anyone in Toronto with this level of experience or equipment to deal with an antiquated piece of garbage from 1999? I've been told to forget about it but it feels like such a waste.

Try company that made the sound card http://www.zzounds.com/item--EMU8803 look there they may have a solution apparently there is a partition going around asking them (the Company) to revert back to the old standard of the card?

SOURCE: HI, I have an emu
You have to select the EMU as the default playback device in Windows and or select it as the playback device in the software you are using for recording or playback.
Go to Control Panel and Sound and Audio Devices icon, and select the Audio tab. There is a drop down box that lists all playback devices. You have to select the EMU in there.
That should get you working.

While you probably solved this already here goes. I'm not familiar with reaper but most audio recording software can select between using windows wdm & ASIO. If you aren't set to ASIO you won't be able to see the Hi-Z (Dock A/Dock B) inputs. It looks like Reaper supports ASIO so that should be fine. If though you are using a program that doesn't support ASIO you need to use the EMU patchmix and 'patch' the input through to a 'wave' channel.

Please be informed that any hardware device needs a driver software to run within a PC, and the driver software depends on the Hardware Make/Model and the Operating System software you are using in your PC to operate it.You will get the Driver software of any hardware within the CD provided with the hardware part at the time of its purchase. The hardware may be an entire PC,Laptop,VGA card, sound card, LAN card etc.
If you do not have the CD or misplaced it somewhere then you need to download the driver software to get going. Thus you need to know all the above information to get the exact software your PC needs. As you have not mentioned the Hardware Make/model and Operating System you are using, i am unable to give you the direct download link.
However you can download the same by visiting the 'software downloads' section of the website of the hardware brand you have purchased. You just need to Google the name of the brand and visit their website and search for the download section.
If you feel that, my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.
