Question about RCA D61W20 61" Rear Projection Television
I am having power issues. When power button is pressed, the power light comes on, I hear a small click in the back and then the light goes off again. It will repeat the same process 2 more times for a total of 3. After numerous attempts, TV finally comes on as I can hear the screen make that popping sounds before tvs come on. I've read through previous posts and have heard of 3 possible problems. Bad Power Supply, Bad Capacitors, and Bad Flyback. Is there anyway I can check to see which problem I am having? I have a background in computers but not tv's, but I do have basic soldering skills. Any help would be greatly appreciated
You will need a new flyback number 259296 and also a new cp150 which is a 2200uf 25V radial capacitor. You can get replacements at the following link and they provide free installation instructions.
