Question about Televison & Video
Samsung ps42q97 13 months old 1 month past warranty samsung will do nothing for me ..... tv just turned of by itself then starts clicking as if trying to come back on please help
The tic tic sound is a device called safety switch that keeps turning
your TV off because an internal fault, such as a defective component or
a wrong voltage is detected.
When is like that we say the tv is in protected mode.
Start unplugging TV power cord for one or two hours (it is called hard reset), this will drain power from tv and seset internal circuit, and sometimes can clear the error message, if the fault was only temporary.
If the problem does not go, probably some component inside the tv is faulty and may need to be replaced.
If the tv is one month old, it should be covered by warranty, call the phone number listed on the TV owner manual.
