While Meee's solution was very helpful im afraid that is what you need to do. If your DLP projector has stuck pixels, im assuming the projector pops up and you have black and white dots on the image, then your DLP chip is dying and is causing the stuck pixels, in which case you need to take it to your local repairman, be warned though if your projector is a Sharp XR 32X like mine is the DLP chip can cost apparently a small fortune when i had this problem.

If it is a stuck pixel go here and follow the directions:

http://www.jscreenfix.com

Also, there is a youtube video that rapidly flashes colors. It kind of does the same thing. Forewarning on the youtube video, there is a epilepsy warning.

Your DLP chip is damage or getting to been damage.
** To make it sure you can do it your self by getting some basic tools such as proper screw drive, and open your projector for parts.
And you can physically observe the Chip.
Please check by side angle on the chip surface. **

Suddenly, benq mx511 has white pixels showing up....multiplying every day...now the projected image consists of 50% snow.

It probably has the same DLP chip as my Mitsubishi television. The mirrors in the chip set get stuck and create the white spots. There is no way to fix this other than replacing the DLP chip.

Normally the dlp going bad would be white or black spots. Dead pixels. DMD/DLP is about 200$ from china. I've got a video of the repair on an ex51u

How do you clean the dust out of the projector, there are particles that look like small white stars on the black areas and black stars on the white areas. Is this dust?

If you focus the image on a screen up close to the projector and notice small rectangular black and white spots, then you have pixel failures.

Sir, its white small dots on complete screen, like sky with stars,

Place a white piece of paper about 1000mm in front of the screen and focus the image sharply.
Choose menu, image, advanced then select color manager.
go through the color options and check if some pixels are permanently on or off (ie small dots or black) instead of a uniform colour on the screen.

The DLP chip is most likely the faulty component

Hi , 2 weeks ago i noticed some dead pixels showing up on my screen (white dots) since then i'm up to 10 dead pixels. What can i do? I heard it might be the dlp projector that has to be replaced...

White pixels are STUCK pixels, not dead. Read the warranty beacuse at a certain number of stuck/dead pixels, the tv is repaired for free by the seller if is in warranty period.
