    Happened to me as well. Anyone have a fix?

  • Anonymous Sep 23, 2008

    Sunday, Sept 21, all my profile settings disappeared. No more Outdoor, or Silent, or Headset, ALL profiles are gone. If I go into start, settings, and profiles, the page that usually lists profiles comes up: with NOTHING on it.

    My phone now has ultra loud setting on Alarms and Reminders, and doesn't ring or vibrate at all when a call comes in.

    Interesting, this seems to be happening to the Blackjack around the same date . . .

    This just happened to my Blackjack this morning September 28th. I'm trying to avoid having to do a master reset. This is SO frustrating!

    I had all those profile options a few days ago and a few days ago my phone just stopped making noise when a text or a call came in...I still get the texts and calls, but no noise happens when they are being received by my device. ATT was no help at all. Nice but no help. Guy told me to look under "Settings" then "Profiles". I did, and there is NOTHING, NO CHOICES under Profiles. Also, I used to be able to switch between vibrate and normal setting by holding down the "pound" or "#" key. Now that does absolutely nothing...what to do??

I had the same problem, they told me to download Windows 6.0, But i have a mac, so i just did a hard rest and saved all my contacts to my sim, and emailed all my pics to my email. And everything reset fine

May not be much help - but performing an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.0 restored the missing "Profiles". Lost all my contact info so highly recommend you SYNC your data before upgrading your device. Good Luck...

Pan Tech Duo... New Texts and Silent

After you read a message, always hit the return/back key to get you back to the main list of messages. This phone automatically returns you to wherever you left off last, so if you don't hit the return key, your last message read will be what is displayed when you hit your message key.

No, your phone is not defective, you need to change your settings.

In your menu, go to SETTINGS, then PROFILES. Scroll to the profile you are using then select EDIT. Under each profile you have the option to select how your phone handles any alert you receive (i.e. for calls, messages, texts, etc.) You have several options some of which are silent, silent and vibrate, vibrate only.

Personally I want my phone to vibrate when it's on silent so that I know I'm receiving a call or text. You can choose another option though.

PROFILE. you can edit it under SETTINGS>>PROFILE. or if that doesn't work, hold the 3rd to the last button on your key pad- "silent". or maybe just press the power button once and choose a different profile.

Try this:

Start -> Settings -> Profiles -> "Normal"

Sounds like you might be on the "silent" profile. Good luck!

Please reply if this doesn't work for you and we can go from there!
