Other than doing a reset, unfortunately your Canon may require repair. By resetting the power, you clear the print buffer and reset certain sensors which may be producing the error.
1) Turn off with power button 2) Unplug data cable 3) Unplug power cord for 10 minutes
Plug power cord back in, reattach the printer data cable and press the power button.
I the paper is jammed. Purge unit is jammed with something and not being able to move. Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
if you remove the transformer block ( the one in witch you insert the power cord... is secured with two plastic restrains ) you may see a small electric drive... engine name it as you wish with two blue wires ..
those two blue wires are the positive power coupeling on it ... if they are removed you get error 6000. The removal of the two blue wires may occur when moving the printer or if you remove the transformer block from the printer. put them back to the electric engine, and you will resolve the canon mp600 6000 error and possible other serie two ( the error is standard for most MP series and even IP). Be shure to unwind the blue wires around the small ring or else the wires will pop off the couppeling when you put the transformer block back. It is a pain in the back to recoupple the blue wires into the elctric drive but it can be donr without opening the whole printer(witch is a huge pain in youre back side).
I reffer to the transformer block as the ac\dc block witch feeds power to the printer. For any problems adress me at [email protected]
