Question about HP OfficeJet 4215 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Had a bad storm. Resulted in printer not faxing, scanning, or copying, but will print from computer. I have a Mac. Any hope?
If after the storm, your printer suddenly couldn't fax, scan, and copy, my guess is that a power surge fried some of the printer's electronics. You could try turning everything off (printer, Mac) and then turning everything back on. Verify that all of the cords and cables are securely connected, the give it a try.
If it was just one function (fax or scan or copy), there would probably be some specific diagnostic tasks to try to solve the problem, but with that many features going out at once, you may have an unresolvable issue. The only way to be more sure under the circumstances would be to take the printer in for service and see what the repair person said.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
