Question about Dell U0636 Mouse

My scroll wheel won't click

When I click the scroll wheel it doesn't do anything, I've looked through the settings and there isn't even an option. As a 3D artist this is essential to rotate my models.

Scrolling wheel broken

Which kind of mouse do you have?
Usually it have two screw to twist off,
so you could check if the scroll of the wheel is obstructed.

Give us more details

as I can see:
it seems that the wheel right mevement could be the movement to open the cover.)

Since it is a Programable mouse it could be even a modify on the action to the wheel, so try to use (or install software) to check the setting of this.
Let us know

Cheers

Apple mouse won't scroll down, how do you take apart to clean-no visable screws

I've had this issue as well.
Step 1) Get a clean piece of paper Step 2) Flip mouse upside down so the bottom is facing up and the mouse wheel is facing the paper. Roll the mouse on the paper up and down quickly, ensuring the wheel is in direct contact with the paper.
That should clean it. It's a known issue.

Hi, I believe you have to clean your mouse. that's no joke. You have to unscrew it and and clean out al the parts with a toothbrush and tooth-pic.. If that does'nt work. replace mouse with optic mouse.
Good luck.

What I'm trying to scroll, won't scroll as fast as I want it to.

If you click the start menu, then click control panel, and select mouse, you will get a pop up window, one of the tabs at the top of this window is 'wheel' there you will see an option to change the number of lines the wheel will scroll with each notch
hope this helps.

It just stopped working, like, five minutes ago. Normally, it makes a clicking noise as you scroll, but it's not clicking and it's not scrolling. There's no resistance as I turn it; it's almost like...

The wheel's inner grip tends to wear out eventually. The only option is to replace the wheel mechanism. Or you can open and tweak the wheel to make it tight.

Scroll mouse is choppy when I am trying to scroll. It sometimes even goes back up. Very irritating.

Try going into your Control Panel, go into the Mouse controls, and change the wheel scroll settings. There's a "lines to scroll" option that determines how much or little the wheel moves the page. Try changing this number up or down and see if the problem gets any better. Does the scroll wheel feel OK? is it sticky or hard to turn? is it smooth and loose?

Scroll wheel not responding. It may be dirty how do I clean or fix it?

Hey,

Check that scroll lock is off
also try reinstalling the logitech software incase some setting is wrong, or you could go over all your settings in the logitech program to see what could be causing it.

Heres the 3200 laser software http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/433/140&cl=us,en

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ekse
