Sounds like a loose connection to the display panel. Did you physicaly move it from the time it didnt work to the time it started working..

When you unplugged it, did you leave it unplugged for 10 full long seconds and press any button for that 10 full seconds as well, then wait a few more before plugging it back in? That is the correct procedure. If that still doesn't work, then either the firmware needs to be updated, or there is a faulty IC chip in the device that will need to be replaced.

 This tv has severe problems in the image processor - you bought a dud. Try getting your money back.

could be noumerous things: 1. check power supply, too high or too low voultage may cause TV to shut down. measure it to detarmine if power supply is faulty. 2. check convergence board. If either of these 2 fuses on the convergence panel are open then replace the STK output devices PLUS check for any resistors in that circuit that may have overheated and changed value. Use actual fuse values, putting in a larger fuse, even to try and diagnose problem, will cause more severe damage. 3. Check for bad solder connects on the PC board in the area of the power cord and related components. good luck
