I plugged a computer monitor into dvd recorder, this allowed a screen and menu to surface. From there we found RETURN TO MANUFACTURERS SETTINGS. The television was still attached, turned off recorder, waited required 3 seconds, lo and behold, we had picture as well as sound.

Connecting tevion DVD player to palsonic tv for first time in ages. The picture works, but the sound is only very faint, even if I turn up the sound to the maximum on both devices. How can I fix the s

Those cables are RCA jacks. You need to connect all 3...red white yellow. You dont need 5 like in the video. So on DVD Player connect red to red ...yellow to yellow.....white to white. Connect to audio/video out. Then on TV connect audio/video in or input same way red to red ...and so on.

Split screen

It appears that it has something to do with Progressive Scan been turned on. Progressive Scan is a feature built in your dvd player, wich by using it, it would give you a better picture//resolution on your tv, you need to use Component or HDMI cables to hook up the dvd to your tv if you want this settings, but if you are using composite RCA cables (Red,White & Yellow) and the Progressive funtion is turned on by accident, it may give you a split screen, black & white, or no picture problems. Also if you are using Component (Blue, Green & Red) cables, if one of them is unplug, the picture can be out of colors, or no picture. Check this things, if not, write back with more details about your set up.

Black and White Screen

Hi,

For a Memorex MVD2022, it would be necessary to turn OFF the YUV. This is done by pressing Setup, Enter, Up/Down to select Video, Enter, S-Video and YUV.

Hope this be of help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

White screen no picture but sound

First thing to check is the ribbon cables for chaffing, or the connection seating. This can cause this symptom. As well as a failing LCD video deciphering circuit and/or motherboard problems. not a bad chance that you'll need to replace the screen/unit. any warranty? Good luck
