RECORDING WITH DTV

HOW DO I HOOK UP THE DTV CONVERTER TO THE VCR SO I CAN TAPE SHOWS ON DIFFERANT CHANNELS OTHER THEN 3 AND WHAT I HAVE THE CONVERTER SET TO?
