-   My 2300DL was working fine before it sat idle for several months during a remodeling project. Back on-line, it developed the same problem. Either I get a paper jam transfer roller error (and have to open the machine to pull out the jammed sheet) or the page comes out with a very neat horizontal fold about 1/3 of the way from the top of the page. I've tried to ideas here, and they haven't helped. Has anyone had better luck?-   Guest

-   As described above the paper comes out folded. When I press down in the paper tray several times as described that works for the next sheet of paper then I get a load paper error message. When I open the tray and push down again the next sheet will print but then the same load paper message comes up. This just keeps repeating. If I feed the paper from the left side tray it jams with multiple accordian pleats and I get a paper jam at transfer roller error. Are these related or separate problems? Any other suggestions. I've tried cleanning everything I can reach without totally dismantling the machine. -   patjg
I had this exact problem, but pressing the tray down did not help... But i was on to something. There must be a sensor there, so i tried to blow some air down under the plastic, if some dust should have entered. And then it went like a charm. Kristian
take out all the paper from the loading tray, and press down on the
inside of the tray 4 or 5 times, and put a sheet back in. There seems
to be a physical irregularity with all 2300DL printers that causes this
problem
I same problem.. I hadn't used my one i months. tried printing and would only feed the paper in and make folded paper inside.
I fixed it by the damp cloth on the feeder roller. Not the bottom roller but the main one in the middle. I had to roll the roller abit. when I was rolling it it had fluff come through from the main roller that touches the drum. So roll the middle roller with your fingers and wipe.. keep doing it as it's rolling the the larger main one. will take a while until you get all the dust and fluff out!
