OK, I had the same problem with my 3000, I took it to the beach and after taking 3 pictures it showed the "NO CONNECTION" screen. I tried all of the "RESET" steps with no solution.
_1754.jpg
After a week I tried cleaning it and noticed that there was a small blue build up inside the USB port so I used a thin soft cloth and a really thin screwdriver to try and clean the port. I turned the camera on and I heard the shutter move and finally the camera worked fine. Also, I cleaned it while the camera was on and noticed that by moving the screwdriver the "no connection" screen would pop back up.

I realized that the seal must have been faulty and allowed the sea water to seep in just enough for the USB port to "short out" and make the camera think that there's a USB cable plugged in hence the shutter will not move when the NO CONNECTION screen pops up....
Now, I know this is probably not the best method, its the only way to do it with out having to pay for repairs or replacement. The warranty is voided because OLYMPUS can always say we were at fault for not ensuring the case was closed properly.

I have sony DSC-W190,i want correct menu setting ,bcos if i take a picture its not clear,i think may be menu setting changed, idnt any idea about menu setting pls help.....

Hi,

If the Menu settings in the camera is changed, then I suggest you to reset the Camera back to factory default. Initializing the Camera back to factory default will set all the settings in the Camera back to factory default.
To initialize the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera to OK.This will set the user defined settings back to factory default. The images and videos will not get deleted.
You can also try a manual reset;

Turn off the camera.

Remove the battery pack.

Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.

Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.

Reinsert the battery pack.

Turn on the camera.

The blurry image capturing can also adjusted by changing the ISO Settings or the Scene Selection modes.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Hi there, i just bought a 60D and trying all the functions it has. When im on any creative mode and the lens is set to AF, i cant seem to take a picture or even adjust the AF mode. i even couldnt open the...

I don't think it is something you did wrong. What you can do is go into menu, and clear "All camera settings". This will set it back to default mode. Then try to see what does on af on lense. See if will work on mf mode as well.

I have a canon powershot SD400 elph. Camera menu

I'm guessing you bought a new 4GB SDHC card. Although it looks exactly the same as a standard SD card, the format the card uses is very different. Unfortunately your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, but a SDHC card will not work with your camera.

You'll need to use standard SD cards (usually those 2GB or less). But if you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for 4GB SD "non HC", with the non HC in quotes. Believe Transcend makes one.

Camera Wont turn on

It really could be the batteries. You may want to buy a very good pair of high power Duracell or Energisers first just to make sure that the problem is not with the camera.

I bought my mother this HDC-1061E camera and it was fine for not very long until it seemed the batteries that came in the camera box ran out. A short time. And I offerred a new pair of batteries I found lying around, they were cheap batteries I would use for something not requiring much power. And they brought the camera on but it went off within a second or two each time.

Though then I recalled an 8.2 mexapixel camera I bought for myself last year made by Kodak, and I found that some cheap batteries would not even turn that camera on. And expensive duracells didn't actually last long at all.

What's the solution? Buy a couple of 4 packs of NiMh (2700, no less) batteries (UniRoss is a good buy for this, around £9.99 a 4 pack in Amazon), and a recharger separately. If you're thinking about the environment you should think about a solar recharger though that will recharge a good amount slower than recharging from the mains (there are some more expensive units, if you look around, that offer solar and mains recharging).

I suggest two 4 packs so you have the batteries you are using, another set to exchange for a long day out (maybe not so long in fact, these cameras eat batteries so quickly), a further pair of emergency batteries, and then a pair kept always at hand at home if you need to load fresh batteries at any time. Recharge as soon as used.
A cheapish mains recharger won't cost more or much more than £13 to £20 and may esaily be a few pounds less. Solar rechargers are available in this bracket too, usually a little more expensive than mains ones. If you buy the battery I have specified this should work fine.

I had the same problem, it is the switch inside that is broken which allows you to switch back and forth between viewing pictures and taking them. There isn't really a fix besides getting the switch replaced and I am having a very hard time trying to find parts for mine. Good luck.

Clock setting not saving

This link will give you the user instruction manual for your camera; http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportModel?displayTab=R&surfModel=DMC-FX8K&modelNo=DMC-FX8K&storeId=15001&catalogId=11017&itemId=94211&displayServiceCenter=false# Page 19 describes the clock setting procedure - first check that you are doing everything as described, especially the "press menu button 2 times after finishing the setting" If you still have no luck, then unfortunately there is a problem with the internal clock/settings battery/cell, which should normally charge from the main battery enough for 3 months - on this camera, the internal battery is not a user replaceable item, but your warranty should allow you to get it replaced free. Sorry if bad news, hope it helps :)
